To be fair he's 28 (29 soon) not exactly the 38 yo frank lampard that's gonna save palarse.....

Might not be the quickest but he's not winger/striker so that's actually ok.
So long as he has the ability to move the ball quickly and not take 25 touches before having to pass back to Gomes.

He's not played in the premier league but he has played at a very high level.
Most definitely an upgrade on Guedioura.

Fair enough he has not played in the premiership but he has played at a top level for years and was in the Europa league side that give Liverpool a footballing lesson. He is not that old he is only 28.

Yeah I do think he can. When Suarez and Jurado came they'd been in a bad runs of form, with a lot of question marks around them, a lot of Spanish press thought they were strange moves. Iborra has got more about him, and is at a strong point of his career.

He started as more of a CDM but the last couple of years he's been used as a CAM also. It sounds offputting but Hornetboy's comparison to Fellaini is a good one. He's not an conventional CAM but he's good on the ball and strong in the air.

His versatility is really useful when it comes to changing his role during the game which is how Sevilla like to use him often.

Messi is 29 and has never played in the prem either presumably the reason no one is making a move for him ?

You know him better than others on this forum and the more you comment the better suited to us and the prem he sounds. He will go to Bmuff of course but he does sound a good option.

My comment was a little tongue in cheek but I agree steering clear of Messi is wise, not sure he would have done much on a cold, Tuesday night in Stoke yesterday.

Two certain headlines at this time of year. Somewhere in a muddy field there was a Christmas attraction that was a disappointment and Watford are trying to sign an ageing midfielder from the continent.

He definitely has all of the attributes. I was also very excited when we signed Amrabat, he was very highly rated in La Liga and showed all the signs of being a good fit for us. But as we unfortunately saw he wasn't utilised correctly during his first six months. I don't think that will happen with Iborra though, and think he has every chance to succeed.

I assume the people who are moaning are newbies and weren't following the horns when players like Devon White were leading the line.

Devon White? Who lead the line in back to back 6-3 and 4-2 wins? I'd give my right arm to have him back. Unplayable.

I'm sold on this guy . Sevilla horn has won me over with his sales patter I'm ready to commit my life savings to a timeshare in this guy .

Can he start against Burton or does already playing in the Champions League make him cup tied?

Hope this is more than a rumour, only sticking point I can see is it seems like we want a loan and they want a sale....... depends on what long term role they are looking for, loan fee with appearance based permanent transfer maybe?

Everyone, especially Man Utd fans get very huffy puffy about Fellani."Not a Man U player" as if everyone has to be Best,Law,Charlton or Cantona.

From what Sevillahorn says he sounds excellent.

I'm pretty excited about the idea that we (and various other clubs) have been offered the chance to sign him because he wants a big Premier League pay packet before he gets too old. This seems a much better idea than us actually scouting and identifying players we think might bring something to the squad. I mean, what could go possibly go wrong?

Never got a chance mate. Now on my 12th club by the age of 23 so must have something otherwise they wouldn't keep signing me, innit?

That would be interesting. Vietto and Vazquez to accompany him as well.

If he asked Mario Suarez if it was a good move I'm sure Suarez would tell him 'Sure m8! You won't play much football, but you'll never be short of a shilling again'.

Pace isn't his strong suit but he's mobile, his game isn't really built around how he covers the ground like Behrami for example. He would complement Behrami and Capoue well, but if he was to replace one it would most likely be Capoue. In my opinion he plays best when in a midfield 3, so it would be interesting to see how we would use him.
