Could be/most likely nothing.......... would we be interested in any of their players (sensible suggestions) on a swap or would we take cash? Can't see a cash only deal with current player levels

Quite frankly I'll drive him there myself if they are daft enough to want him!

He's a luxury player. On his day absolutely fantastic. However when things aren't going our way, he goes missing and his attitude stinks.

Would be disappointing to see him leave but we could easily replace him with a more consistent player who over the course of the season would contribute more, even if they're maybe not as technically gifted.

Can't see Capoue getting into the Everton side to be honest he probably shouldnt be in our side based on recent performances. I honestly think if we got a good offer we should consider selling as we would be ripping The Toffees off as they clearly have only seen him in a handful of games when he could be bothered to turn up and play. Would happily take cash and McCarthy or Cleverly wont happen though, maybe even get Deulofeu and McCarthy.

I agree that if the money was good, that on current form he is an ultimately replaceable player, but wouldn't want him to leave without a decent option in place. On his day he is an asset but is prone to vanishing on the pitch, forgot he was playing in our last 2!

To be fair we talk of him as a luxury player, and I completely understand why, but in reality he mostly doesn't even come close to hitting those heights. He has very, very sparingly offered even any of that luxury this season, or indeed for the calendar year of 2016.

We say things like "I don't care if he does a nutmeg when he can't pass the ball", but he doesn't even really do any nutmegs anymore, or indeed any other flash/stupid/unnecessary/impressive (delete as appropriate) tricks. He just does almost literally nothing.

That's been true for at least 75% of this season's games, and we talk about Iggy taking up a space on the pitch/starting with 10 men when he starts, but at least he's not in the very centre of the park, supposedly with the responsibility for both starting attacks and stopping the opposition from flying straight through us so that they can start one for themselves.

I'd have not one qualm about selling him, because I think he's really been exposed for having an absolutely fu cking shocking attitude, possibly the worst in the squad, and as others have said, a less technically gifted (if he can ever be bothered to grace us with its presence) but harder working midfielder would be a far better option in our midfield.

All that said, don't think there's a chance in hell Everton are actually after him. Anyone with a scouting department would know how poor he's been, and Koeman is no fool.

Agreed. He's been hugely disappointing on the whole.

And when he gets tackled hard the pitch-side microphones pick up a very high and silly 'SQUEEK!' noise he makes - like a gerbil that's been stepped on.

And I don't like the Gallic way he says "foo-oo-oo-tbol" and wears shirts with designer rips in them.

Ragged and ripped up clothes are poor man style. We're being culturally appropriated by bloody millionaire footballers.

In a midfield so poor that Guediora gets a game every week selling Capoue would be silly

Duped into visiting SH1TC. It's bad enough they do it themselves without getting boosts from members of the forum.

There should be a ban on links to that site.

Possibly the most frustrating player I can remember playing for us.

I keep hoping he will mature but perhaps the performances are a true indication of his level. One great eight ( or insert number of your choice) poor.

I've seriously gone off of Capoue, he isn't bothered during matches so I'm not bothered if he leaves. In fact I'd prefer he leaves. Along with Kaboul.

The only down side is we're severely lacking in players, so I'm not sure selling anybody right now is a great idea.

P.S. Yes, I will cheer if he scores tonight. I'm a terrible person.

You can get away with scoring goals & doing fek all else when you are a striker. Maybe we should play him up front....

Out of interest and a genuine question as you will see I'm not a major poster, why? I know HITC aren't a reliable tapped in source, but as they appear to pick up on bits and pieces from other media outlets it's not like it's completely made up? If you feel duped I apologise, it's hard to keep up with the personal preferences of half the people on here! (Ps I'm not Hornet23)

Fantastic cruyff turn in our own box vs Stoke tonight....possibly the worst place ever to try that. Luckily he pulled it off.

Think that is the general consensus now isn't it, I never thought I would think that but bar the youngsters that are trying, I feel nothing for the majority of our mercenaries like Capoue.

He might be prepared to put a modicum of effort in for them. He has talent but it seems he doesn't want to put in that effort for Wally.

He doesn't need to. He won't be dropped because of injuries and his goals earlier in the season.

Capoue knows he's picked every game whatever. Any youth team player would have made more effort tonight. That falls at the coach's door. Whether that's the head coach or any of his 8 or whatever assistants, I don't know.

Don't Everton/Koeman like to play a high pressing game?

Not sure that is going to suit Capoue!

Someone said to me that when he retires, Capoue will look back on his career and realise that he had wasted his talent. I agreed at the time but now I think he'll probably be too lazy and uninterested to even look back on his career.

Well even has admitted in the past he isn't much of a football "fan"...

Maybe the guy isn't that bothered if he has a good or bad game.
