Good King Wencesmod looked down, on the feast of a masked Weedeer ball where 2 disguised Weredeers sat at opposite ends of a 10 ft table laden with a host of “delicious” treats.

The masks maintained their secret identities to each other which they felt at this early stage was probably best to maintain the attack from 2 fronts.

"He's seriously writing us both into one kill scene even though we chose different kills" quaffed Alpha WD while munching on a left leg with a glass of blood Rioja.

"The lazy feckwitted author" replied the beta WD. "I had a great alternative way to kill mine off using props I found from last year’s Nativity. Do you realise how many ways there are to kill an elf with a crib, Frankincense and a shedload of straw?"

    "Geez! Unfrickinbelievable."

They both looked up at Wencesmod with a disapproving look, one Wencesmod recognised from coming home rather pissed after the Leicester game and finding dinner in the dog.

Frustrations about the lazy ar$e Mod author aside, the Alpha Weredeer started on ear chips with a mushed foot dip, one of its favourite side dishes. Picking a feather out of its teeth, it quipped "there's only one thing better than Turkey at Christmas... TURKEY FARMERS ahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Yes indeed.. For that night it’s chosen kill was none other than hornetgags. So quick to assume the role of murderer the evening before, he himself was now the prey. Hornetgags' blood ran red. Hornetgags was GOOD.

Across the table, the Beta Weredeer was dipping finger soldiers into 2 boiled eyeballs sitting neatly in 2 little eggcups. "You, you and your tasty turkey-based farmer. Why did I have to choose this one?" it grimaced with a look of certain disgust on its face. "Stinks", it continued. "Stinks like the ar$e end of an anally diseased skunk badger".

It did indeed stink, for it was none other than the recently killed Darave, suffocated by having his own dung forced down his throat. The Weredeer hadn't thought that one through, as the sausage intestines split on the table revealing the remaining contents of that dung. It was perhaps less shocking that this Weredeer had chosen the stinky Darave, and more shocking that anyone had actually managed to locate the somewhat invisible elf who had already been missing in action for the whole of the previous day.

    Darave was GOOD.

Across the village Rudolph the Guardian spent the whole night freezing his cherries off outside Mikes house with no action to speak. Rudolph went home thoroughly bored, wondering who the evil fiends had taken instead.

So day 2 in the village opens on a very sombre mood. One GOOD kill last evening, and two GOOD kills by the Weredeers overnight. A very bad first day for team GOOD.

Morning all. RIP to those who passed. This mornings question is why was Darave chosen as a night kill? My hunch is an inexperienced Alpha.

Shame that hornetgags was killed. I liked his activity. Darave being killed is fine in a way, gets rid of a inactive player even if he is good.

Good job on the Guardian protecting Mike, sensible move.

Lets hope the seer gets lucky with his view.

13 left and not much to go on. Hmmm. Hoping for two early messages today.

We might be reading too much into it but it seems to indicate that Darave was killed by the Beta wolf.

2 messages relatively early today please!

It does seem a random kill to go for an inactive at night. Does point at an inexperienced player.

Anonymous Message #1 received at 7.30am

I decided to view Grrwood after checking Meh's profile page and Grrwood is GOOD. Grrwood was the only one to publicly respond to Meh's initial roll call Private Message on the 2nd Dec, with a visitor message stating he could PM but why would that be important, unless he had an non-villager role? But I was wrong.

Unfortunately, that's how little I have right now, I was tossing between Cassetti's Beard on purely just a hunch and Jellyman & Darave due to super low activity in one case and absence in the other.

I can only apologise as it's not much but I did my best to try to at least justify my viewing with rational.

Well that didn't go well, did it? Here's the daily Xmas Cracker joke to try to cheer up Team Good, the topic is in keeping with how the game is going for us at the moment:

Did you hear about the ice cream man who was found dead covered in hundreds and thousands?

    He'd topped himself.

So, working on yesterday's discussions, two out of the three inactive players have been killed but were actually Good, Optimistic and Darave. The general consensus was that there was no message from the main Weredeer, hence why people were suspicious of the inactivity.

Following on from that, Jellyman is the only one left who was inactive yesterday although he did post after the village had closed, and there was some confusion as to when the cut off point was.

We only received one message yesterday, saying MikeD was good. The more experienced players seem to have accepted that it was from the Seer but there is an outside chance that it was from the Weredeer and the Seer didn't post at all.

    Am I missing anything?

Edit: Just seen that another message has appeared whilst I was typing this stream of consciousness.

Looking a bit too much into it I'm afraid! Meh wasn't able to message me before the game to pass on the details. Reasonable thinking with nothing to go on though.

My bad, I skimmed to the end of Meh's post and only saw the one death. Dayum.

Blimey, that's quite a post. I've never seen a Weredeer write such a post so early in the game without knowing much more. I'd place a large wager that the Seer has spoken.

Against the rules of the game though isn't it? Due to CB's very low activity yesterday, it's probably a decent option for the seer to check.

Now I can search for the shnowplough while we wait for the second message. If anyone's seen it, it's yellow and big.

Damn, I didn't want the guardian to save me.

I hoped that my message would scare off the wolves, and the Guardian would take the risk, keeping me alive one more day.

What facts do we know thus far?

    Kills:

One wolf went for a non player. Why would he do that? As a wolf you are scared of taking out a hidden evil. They would have known that we would have gone after a non player today surely? If he wasn't one, why not keep them all alive to prolong us out search of the non players? That along with no second message makes me suspicious of non-players. Jellyman would be an obvious viewing today.

I'm not entirely in the clear either. I would like a seer to confirm their view on the first day and keep a thread of their views as they go along.

I know that the first day poster was the seer, so I reckon that the wolf had problems posting.

It's not inconsistent that the wolf would therefore post early in the day, if they knew that they were going to be too busy to post a message.

That, along with no thread message of their vote yesterday, makes me think that his message is from the wolf.

But, as I don't think that the wolf would give anything away at this stage, I think that this message is obsolete- however I do not believe that Grrwood is the Alpha.

It would have been better if the Guardian hadn't saved you on the first day because then today, when you would be a target presumably, there is the chance that the weredeers would know there was a chance you'd be picked by the guardian and so forth on the following days. Gives you more/some protection and now you have none.

I'm a bit confused. There seems to me an obvious clue to narrow down who wrote today's message but no-one is discussing it. Apologies if I'm blundering in here and ruining a Team Good plan but does anyone else know what I'm talking about? Feel free to tell me to shut up if you don't want it discussed further!

I actually think the obvious clue seems like a deliberate attempt to mislead but as no-one else has mentioned it, I'm a little confused. Looking forward to hearing some opinions...

I think the food should be run in the style of vicarage road. Luke warm pies at £6 a pop and you have to queue for an age to get them

    Completely agree.

But I also needed to post to warn the wolves that the guardian could pick me.

So understand why they did save me.

Morning all. Just catching up - not great news that we've lost three from team good. Surprised that darave8 was chosen as a victim and also slightly surprised by guardian's choice. I was right about Opti, though - didn't think he'd go for the same strategy of "hiding" again if he were the wolf. Still think yesterday's message was the Seer. It makes no sense for the Seer not to post so I think we can assume that, when there's only one message, it's come from the seer. I would guess today's is the Seer too, but let's see what the second message brings - if we get one.

    Afternoon,

Damn, bad start. Inclined to believe this is the seer and the Wolf is still playing a game and not posted a message yet. Or the wolf is Jellyman?

Possible reasons for Darave8 being eaten; either (a) inexperienced reindeer or (b) a fair minded reindeer gets rid of a non-player.

Well here's what I've got so far:

Message yesterday declares Mike as good. No other message so that's all we have. Assume guardian saves make thinking he is in danger after being declared good? Strange choice going for Darave - presumably if no more information is provided today we would continue to suspect inactives. I'm identified as good leading me to believe that the seer sent both messages and weredeer has yet to contribute. 2 killed yesterday so they're out there watching at the very least!

Hope not. Not much to go on, all we have is supposition so far. We wait....

Ok seeing as no-one else is mentioning the clue I think I've seen, I will presume that it's subtler than I first thought which is tipping me towards thinking that perhaps it is from the seer rather than the Weredeer.

However, if the message is from the seer then I'm pretty sure I've narrowed it down to one of two people. But I don't see why the seer would risk giving a clue away to their identity at all, as the Team Evil could also pick up on it. Hmmmmm............ back to square one!
