To be fair to Iggy China is a great place to visit but the people? However, for £300K a week I'd put up with them.

"Chinese culture is amazing-the people are creative, entrepreneurial and inspiring. I know from my experience and friends whose judgement I trust completely that China is a great and special country that we should be happy and proud to engage with. There's only one problem:its run by a bunch of cruel, corrupt, communist dictators".

Yes, of course you would have.

No need for the abuse either.

So this morning, according to The Mirror, West Brom are planning an "ambitious" move for our Iggy so that he can replace sulky faced Berahino (who in turn is off to glamour side, Stoke City).

    I'm prepared to listen.

They already know that 37.5 million isn't enough to tempt us.

So how about a straight 30 mill, plus chuck in that Rondon fella who cost 'em, what, £12 mill last year.

That might be enough to turn our heads.

Agree entirely, he Yulin dog meat festival is horrific and barbaric and this video on shark fin soup goes to show what cahunts the Chinese are - viewer discretion advised

Yeah, 20 thousand Yuan just for swimming at 45 in a 30 zone.

How's any shark going to pay a brutal fine like that?

What's wrong with eating dogs? Genuine question. Not inferring any associated cruelty is acceptable just the principle I'm asking about.

There are exceptions but we tend to eat vegetarian animals. There's something about meat eating animals. Look at the manure from a horse as compared to the poo from a dog for example. You'd put manure on your vegetable patch but you wouldn't let your dog poo all over it.

So apparently we didn't reject, Ighalo did, and WBA are now sniffing. Would we really sell to a relegation rival ? If so how much do you think they will offer ? £20m??

They've made it clear with the Berainho situation how much they value a PL goal scorer so I'd say £20m+ as a starting point. I know every situation is unique and Berainho is English etc.
Would be very surprised if Iggy was in a WBA shirt come the start of the season. Unless we deem him surplus to requirements, he wants out or they make a silly offer not sure it would be a beneficial move for us at all.

Would have Ighalo over Berahino, so agree with the decision to reject a straight swap

Id take Berahino in a straight swap any day .
Younger and British with more potential and bigger future resale price . Scored roughly the same amount of goals in 14/15 than Ighalo did last season .

Ighalo has the ability to score a goal from nothing in the way that no other striker in the prem can do , but the rest of his game is so , so poor that if he doesnt score in a game he is an absolute liability . Worst player of second half of the season for us and needs to be sold whilst his value is stil high . Keep hold of him and we may find that he has been found out by prem defenders and his price will plummet , a bit like Gomes from Swansea .

Agreed - his season depends upon him going through a purple patch. But then he is a gamble like that. Carry him through his poor form and there's a decent chance the pay off will be monumental when he hits form. Frankly, if we don't suddenly become a hell of a lot more creative, could we get through a season scoring enough without him going on a goal scoring run?

Put a Berahino up front all you like, but we need the creative midfielders to make that worth doing I would say.

It's a gamble to swap becoz Ighalo is less injury prone than Berahino.

Home grown quota and bigger potential resale due to the premium paid for British players.
