Surely we'll be taking this now that Troy isn't going anywhere? Push the Chinese up a bit and then cash in pronto.
Stop posting pretty much my opinion or people will start to guess that you're another one of my trolling accounts.
Anyone know why Iggy is apparently so big in China? That's the second attempt to sign him from a Chinese club. Does he have some kind of celebrity over there?
Tv money will only go so far and prices will rise because of the money coming in. We still need to sell players, we just don't get robbed anymore. £38m is completely nuts and if true and they don't come back with a better offer we will regret it
I know we are not an expensive side to watch but if we can afford to turn down £38m they can afford to give me a free season ticket! I've often thought that fans should get a free season ticket after buying one 10 years in a row, bit like testimonial. Surely we could do that now
Well they say great minds think alike, of course they also say fools seldom differ, which phrase applies to you?
Madness, a few seasons ago under Bas or before we'd have sold him for about 2-3m. It's a lot of money and In my opinion we should have accepted. If he has a serious injury, or next season he replicates the second half of the season then his value will probably be below 10m. Big risk either way i guess.
Bas would have exploited Ighalo's religious personal and started a fraudulent faith healing company selling holy water. L'eau-dion
Ighalo did say that he was distracted by his father's bad health in the latter half of the season and felt he wasn't able to produce his best at that time. Something to bear in mind regarding his form and value.
I didn't actually ask you reids, and quite frankly I already thought you were a fool, but it's nice of you to confirm it yourself
£38m ... I can't believe it's even a discussion ! Berahino will go for less than £15m. Robson-Kanu is a free agent... 3 months ago no one was picking iggy in our starting line up !!
Seems it is Iggy who has put the mockers on this, as he does not want to go, even though they are offering him £300k per week apparently? INFORMATION OBTAINED VIA LINK ON WDSPORTS WEBSITE! Just to keep you pedantic types out there happy :
In fairness to TVOR, I think you know what he meant. Time will tell whether his Premier League debut has turned out to be a flash in the pan, but I thought he played well and seemed to be rediscovering form in the last few games of the season, and under a more attacking manager who can teach him to be more of a team player, I certainly wouldn't bet against him going on another goalscoring spree, and I'm surprised so many others don't seem to feel the same way - even if £38m is a colossal amount to turn down.
It's here too. I was right. He don't want to go there. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/watford-reject-375m-transfer-bid-8329370
Would I have been able to click on that link had I not been on the WDSports website? So stop being such a little smartarse ***** :dismay:
Watford have been forced to turn down a £37.5million bid from Shanghai SIPG for Odion Ighalo – because the striker does not want to go to China. The Hornets were left reeling by the massive bid for the Nigeria international - who scored 17 goals last season – with Shanghai's ex-England boss Sven Goran Eriksson keen to land him. It is the second time in a year that the 27-year-old has rejected interest from the Chinese Super League. THE ABOVE IS C + P FROM THE ACTUAL ARTICLE! I'm pleased VOR has learned C+P. If he hadn't, we wouldn't never have understood this crucial news that has no quotes or basis other than 'it is'. Brilliant stuff.
I know I'm being whooshed but... Last summer, he rejected a £300,000-a-week deal with Qinhuangdao-based Hebei China Fortune, and instead went on to sign a five-year deal with his Hertfordshire club. Ighalo said in February: “I prayed about it, and God said it was not for me, no matter how much money it was. "I knew God would direct me. “When I said I don’t want to go, they offered me more money — almost £300,000 a week. I told them it’s not about the money.” THE ABOVE IS C + P FROM THE ACTUAL ARTICLE!
