Forest Echo News reporting the following, not sure how reliable...

@JakeJefferies: BREAKING: #NFFC have tabled a £1 million pound bid for Watford midfielder, Adlène Guedioura.

Sincerely hope not far too good for Forest, and we have plenty I'd rather see go before Gueds.

With a manager that actually plays him he has a slot in the squad. I think we'd find it hard to replace him for £1M

Very good squad player to have at the club, popular with fans and seemingly players. However if true that could represent a good deal all round for a player who hasn't played too much who could find himself further away from the side with transfers due in.

Would be sad to see him go if he did but would fully understand it from all parties.

    Nope.

    That is all.

  6. I don't think we've used him properly, should have been wide midfield, and on that basis is a keep for me

He's been a bit of a headless chicken this season, was that him trying too hard though? I'd have to say I wouldn't be too worried about letting him go, not quite good enough for the Prem IMO.

Not a brilliant player at this level but worth more than £1m

Not sure he's good enough for the level we need to be at now but he might impress Mazzarri and get more chances if we're playing 3 in the middle of midfield.

We haven't seen him have a run of games at this level.

I hope everyone waits to see what Walter thinks of him and who comes in, before deciding whether he's a starter (unlikely), a useful impact sub (very likely), someone to keep until January in case some of the preferred players aren't up to scratch (possible), or whether the talent coming in so so exceptional that he doesn't have a chance and should go (unlikely).

  12. he left Palace because he didn't want to be a squad player, no reason to expect he will stay with us for the same limited opportunities

Love the guy and think he was massively underused this year, but think a move might be the best choice at this point.

Would be very sad to see him go, but wouldn't blame him in the slightest.

He is one of the greatest examples of a confidence player I've ever seen. Even when he first signed for us on loan in the Championship he was a bit shaky at first and had to grow into the side. It's easy to see how the way Quique has treated him this season would have severely knocked his confidence. He had a spell between the Arsenal cup game and West Brom away where he was very good. You could see that he had faith in himself and was doing some of the genius things he did last season which got us promoted. In the Everton game especially he was brilliant and changed the game when he came on at half time.

Unfortunately for him and for us Quique never really gave him the run in the team that his performances deserved. Same with Berghuis.

With Doucoure coming in, I think he'll go down the pecking order.

Sorry to see him go but probably best for both parties.

TBH although he is a fans favourite, you could hardly build a team round him as he is a little unpredictable and enjoys the odd stray pass, a good championship player, but not good enough to help us consolidate for the next few seasons I'm afraid! With the two coming in hopefully from Granada and possibly more, he wouldn't get much game time if he stayed!

I think Forest are still technically under a transfer embargo till June, and even then I imagine there would have to be confirmation from the Football League that it's been lifted (Unless I'm a season late with this?)

Makes me chuckle a little bit if the first thing they did was spend a £1mill plus wages on a player that will be 31 years old next season.

Forest have apparently been trying to get Oscar Garcia as their new boss as well. But he has turned them down, although the source page has now disappeared. Maybe he is considering the job.

His ridiculous volley at the end of the Sunderland game helped me come to the realisation that as much as I love him, he's probably not sensible / mature enough to be a regular Premier League starter.

All the ability in the world but mentally I don't think he's good enough and at 30 probably hasn't got the time on his side to learn that..

He was underused this year, but he probably won't give us anything that Doucoure wouldn't.

    However 1 million is joke.

Did you think the same when he scored from an even more audacious effort against Arsenal in the cup?

That wasn't more audacious, there wasn't better options, it wasn't the last phase of play and it wasn't at all comparable. Yet you still made them.

But no I didn't think the same.
