In the final Watson scores the winner, then he will be known for scoring the winning goal in two FA Cup finals for the underdog against a Manchester team.

Yes, Suarez, but for most of the season we've had none and Suarez is only just getting acclimatised to the speed of the English game. Gueds can play wide and put in a good cross, which we've also been lacking, and as things stand I'd play him with Watson and Behrami, with Suarez replacing Capoue when he's ready. Jurado can go and be Moog's valet.

I said tactically speaking. Do you think Gued was a tactical move? I don't.

BBC's goal of the round list includes Lukaku's, Gueds' and Payet's. All very good goals but almost incomparable based on the skill sets used to score each of these goals.

No thanks. No surprise to me that the best team performance of the season coincided with Guedioura in and Jurado out of the team. Hope the penny drops for QSF.

Do you include player attributes into tactics?

QSF said himself he wanted more energy and Gueds offered that, otherwise he would put Abdi in.

So yes it was a tactical move based on what a player can offer.

Yesterday was our best result of the season..best result for many a season actually..but I'd argue Liverpool was our best performance..

Welbeck does what he should have done in injury time and it's 2-2 and we've blown a two goal lead and face a replay..

It was a terrific performance though..some fantastic tactics and individual play..but the margins of victory were fine! Liverpool was a hammering.

Not buying it. Most of Gued's football has come in the FA Cup which seems a bit coincidental. And we've been crying out for more energy countless times in the league this season, with Guedioura nowhere to be seen.

In my eyes it was down to squad & player management, not a specific tactical decision.

Well QSF said he'd been putting it in during training - so it was a tactical decision to include him...just my opinion.

That may be the case, but it still doesn't prove that it was a meaningful tactical decision. Flores probably mentally picks his team several days before a match, and trains with those players in mind.

Suppose it depends on whether you believe the manager or not.

He hasn't done too bad so far.

He had the option of Abdi, Anya or Paredes or at a push play Suarez and push Behrami out wide as he has done. But he played Behrami in the middle to harry their centre. First half he pushed Capoue further forward than Deeney.

Second half Capoue and Deeney swapped, so there was a definite gameplan for the 2 halves, and with Gueds getting ahead of the 3/4 players mentioned...to me a definite tactical change.

QSF does a face when Gueds scores. Something along the lines of " ****ing hell why did he blast it over"

Agree, completely the opposite. I don't think QSF necessarily trusts Guedioura to stick to the tactics he sets, so in a game where we didn't have much time to plan (given we found out the opposition so late) Guedioura's energy, spontaneity and improvisation was our best option.

Whether this suggests that QSF can sometimes be too tactical and cautious instead of allowing the players express themselves, who knows, but I believe so.

Not to be pedantic but it's the Community Shield now, it was re-named because none of the proceeds went to charity.

Purely a humanitarian move. He knew anybody who got in the way might well have been killed and couldn't live with that on his conscience.

Finally had the chance to watch the full 90 back! Some observations I didn't notice before due to being in our fans at the Clock End:

    - Cathcart was unbelievable. What a performance. Who would have thought a player we signed on a free from Blackpool would be such a vital Prem component? Not old enough for Beckenbauer comparisons, so I'll offer a more recent one - he was like Carragher on the big Anfield European nights. Absolutely everywhere all the time.

    - Ake's a different class to Holebas, and I think Holebas is great. To put in a defensive performance like that at age 20 under such pressure is incredible.

    - Prodl was good too, but I don't think there can be much dispute that Britos - CC is our best pairing.

    - Gueds didn't really do much apart from the quality cross that set up the throw for the goal, oh and threaten to demolish the Arsenal net with a certified gold thunderbastard. Would be annoyed to see him dropped, but still think he gives the ball away too much.

    - Behrami was everywhere. Absolutely everywhere. And always smiling. Must be such a **** to play against.

    - Christ I'm still excited by the whole thing. The kid hasn't quite understood Que Sera Sera and is going around the house singing Hey Sarah Sarah. I'm not going to correct him.

I don't disagree with any of that except Prodl was way better than your assessment. He made several massively important interceptions. Prodl or Britos, who cares, they're both bloody great.

Cathcart. My God he was good. If ManUre had kept him he'd be the first name on their teamsheet by now. Big mistake you prawn-eating twonks!

The Pozzos should offer Chelski whatever they want for Ake in the summer. Holebas is an excellent Prem LB but Ake is already better. He's a bargain at any price. 5 years from now he's going to be world-class.

He got the team moving forward with more purpose and energy than in many recent games with movement and quick crossfield passes. Considering how little he's played this season, I think he stepped up to the occasion and challenge extremely admirably, and I'd have said that even if he hadn't scored.
