http://gazzettaworld.gazzetta.it/ne...ord-land-fiorentina-midfielder/?refresh_ce-cp Out of favour since his switch to Fiorentina
Would be a decent signing. Very experienced so can hopefully slot straight in. Am assuming that would involve Behrami leaving
Shame if Behrami does go imo. I was really impressed with his energy in his first appearances. Suarez appears a decent alternative.
If Quique is helping choose his players we can file 'QSF to Real' in the bin next to 'Deeney to Arsenal'.
Didn't he have the best interception/tackle stats in the prem after about 4-5 games (and you can't beat a good tackle)? Mind you he has been a complete headcase since.
This would be an important step in Quique's quest to reunite the 2010/11 Atletico Madrid midfield in South West Herts. For that reason, I'm in.
What annoys me is that if our transfer policy is 'sign players who were good once', Tommy Smith was ON THE PITCH the other day and is still without a contract.
Good point though he is in negotiation with Muff who have promised him he'll receive £90k/w, at least 10 passes a match, choice of strike partner and he doesn't have to track back.
He has top class experience at both club and international level. We are certainly competing with the big boys if we can capture signings like this. Although, for some reason, it did not appear to work out for him in Italy, which is a little disconcerting.
http://http://www.football-italia.net/77870/lopez-out-capoue-milan? I cant see it happening, but would be worried if it was Capoue who made space.
This would be a great signing. It takes a very good player to get multiple caps for Spain in this day and age. What reassures me is that he really came into his own playing under Diego Simeone, another manager who favours highly organised but high energy football. He would be pretty comfortable slotting into the midfield.
Have faith in the owners guy - I don't think Capoue will be going anywhere. Behrami perhaps - but he isn't as important to the team anymore. We all knew we'd be looking at bolstering everywhere and we've still lots of fringe players to try and move on.
He sounds great, but I'd be disappointed if Behrami left. I think the latter has a lot to offer and has been a victim of Ben Watson's good run of form.
Insert irrational comment based on very little knowledge of his ability and how upset I am about a player potentially leaving.
