I think you understand wrong in that case The reason he is so famous in the FIFA 'community' is because of how much inexplicably better he is on the game than real life!
I don't understand the raving myself Hes just a big, quick striker/winger with limited technical ability Just a taller, bulkier Anya
Strange player to supposedly break your transfer record. Could our owners be......... DUM DUM DUM PANIC BUYING?
Looks a bit gangly and awkward but that's what I thought about Nyom and I've been mighty impressed with him
FIFA is tinpot. As long as your players are fast, you can beat anyone. Skill, finishing etc. doesn't make a difference.
Only seen him once. Tore the defense a new one that game. Was played wide but has ridiculous pace. Totti made him and Gervinho look like world beaters.
If Totti can make him and Gervinho look like world beaters, just imagine what Ben Watson could make them look like!
I think they are actually Where have you seen the breaking transfer record reported? I thought this was an loan with an option to buy?
I'd read €12m. Maybe that was earlier or about someone else. God knows. My finger isn't as on the pulse as the Nerd Herd on the forum.
John Barnes Mexico 86 , Malts? Not often I get to out stat the master! EDIT I suppose that was after he played for us though .
People wanted us to sign a pacey winger. We're signing a ridiculously quick winger who played for a very very good Colombia side at the World Cup last year, yet it's still not good enough. Just what do people expect? I don't think Robben was picking up his phone today.
Just checked , he went to Liverpool in 87, so he was a Watford player when he came on and changed the game ( to no avail ) against Argentina
John Barnes signed for Liverpool in June 87 and scored for us at home to Oxford in the first game of 86/87 season playing in the semi v Spuds later that season
That reminds me of a Godfather quote- the film not the poster on here although I could be wrong "My father made him an offer he couldn't refuse- Luca Brasi held a gun to his head and my father assured him that either his brains, or his signature, would be on the contract"
I actually think this chap will do very well in the Premiership. Unfortunately I don't think our 4-6-0 system will use his strengths.
People suggesting Vydra will leave, we haven't signed a striker. We have signed a winger... I would expect Layun to go instead. Vydra won't go unless a quality striker is signed. WDSport reckon another Midfielder and that's it. Striker a 'possibility'. Personally hope that is it and we only lose one more - probably Layun.
