Looks like he'll be announced as a QPR player today.

Would much rather we kept him and never signed Britos in the first place.

Best centre-half I have seen in a yellow shirt in recent times. Cathcart has improved but without seeing Angella no way of knowing if Angella has.

    Shame.

One of the best CB's I've seen in my time supporting Watford. This is a **** take really. Britos looks terrible

Cathcart is the best Watford centre back I've seen in the Pozzo era. By far. Angella was a bit up and down last year and it looks like he hasn't impressed in pre-season.

Cathcart and Prodl are a class apart from Angella but he'd be good back-up. What's the source for this?

Makes literally no sense, one injury or suspension and we're down to Britos and Hoban.

    Very very questionable decision.

Angella was very good in his early games but didn't seem to kick on and started to have the odd poor performance of late.

Think it is a good move all round and hopefully we have inserted a good sell on percentage.

I read today an alleged club source, allegedly claiming Angella hadn't impressed the new coaches as he hadn't kicked on this summer.

I know the line about wages and transfer fees etc, but personally if we had to sell Angella, I'd have preferred a British replacement with some good old fashioned British experience..somebody like James Collins (who I believe is available) or Curtis Davies, who we were linked with. Somebody like Cathcart in fact, when we signed him. It's such an important position, and I think a lot of us are nervous about Britos based on his recent misdemeanours.

Angella was a smashing player at times, and of course had a great scoring record too in his first season, and I'd be sad to see another of the players who got us promoted leaving us without a chance to play in the PL, but not sure he really improved as much as hoped last season.

So Angella, Abdi, Fernando, Vydra - some of our star players and fans favourites before QSF was appointed are either being sold on or sidelined and yet Anya and Ben Watson are an integral part of our first team squad - doesn't make any sense to me apart from the HG status.

FF - Breaks my heart but was never going to cut it to be honest, would've preferred him to go on loan but he didn't want too.

Angella - Clearly and fairly 3rd choice, maybe he's not happy there? Would be stupid if he's being forced out unless we have another CB lined up.

Abdi - Still here and played past two games?

Vydra - Makes no sense to me if he gets offloaded.

Not sure what your point is here, I've made my feelings perfectly clear on the forum this past weekend as you may of noted but the transfers aren't THAT questionable.

I think when you change the entire team that won the league, bar two or three players, for a group that are unproven in English football and in the main players that nobody has heard of, I expect there to be some concern.

I'm not calling for the managers head as that's ridiculous, but so is the sudden transformation.

Fair play to Eddie Howe though. He's got them playing well so far.

True but for every Vydra and Abdi there's an Acuna and Iriney.

Circs were very, very different back then. Most notable of which, the league we were in.

As you were talking about the team that won the league I assumed you meant Bournemouth?

Oh God. The earth must be salted. Still, the one very small light at the end of the tunnel of this atrocious sale is at least referees will send off a QPR defender when he tackles someone and he wasn't the last man covering!:naughty:

Around the same we got for Fernando I'd imagine, maybe a bit more due to his new contract. £4m?

The semi detached that is Prodl is pushing him hard. A shame though.

Didn't West Ham bid 8m last year for him?

Seems strange that a promotion potentially reduces a players value.

And the supposed 'new 5 year contract' transfer value inflater.
