At least, if we will be relegated we'll have by far the best stadium of serie B. :dismay::rant::doom:

Granada in action now at Bilbao - Doucoure and Peneranda have made bright starts and the team is holding it's own.

    Udinese v Napoli at 11:30 I think.

    Bilbao 1 up now.

Tough games for all 3 of us this week.

Udinese 1-1 - scored and missed a penalty.

2-1 Udinese just before half time. This would be a cracking win if they can hold on to it!

Meanwhile Granada have yet to muster so much as a corner :(

El Arabi has been shocking. If he's not missing the few chances Granada create then he is making the moves break down or making needless fouls.

    Penaranda!!!! 1-1

    Great goal Penaranda.
And great goal also the 2-1 by Fernandes for Udinese. Atonement for the bad shot in his second pen.

Just turned on for last 15 mins of Granada. It's nerve wracking watching them, just waiting for the customary late goal conceded!

Peneranda substituted, 5mins left. Hanging on a bit.

Just imagine if Fernandes didn't miss a penalty, a scoreline of 4-1 against Napoli!

FT for Granada. Very good point away.

Good point for Granada. And Udinese doing very well. Welcome results!

Great draw for Granada against Athletic Bibao, who are 5th.

I thought Decoure can run a bit.

Doucoure looks like the midfielder we need. Bustles around and gets forward to support the strikers. Box to box.

Red card for Higuain. Udinese 11 Vs 10 and 3-1 up with about 10' to the end.

Should be an extended ban for Higuain for the reaction to that decision. Disgraceful behaviour.

Agreed. He was worth another red for his behaviour.

Brilliant result for Udinese and a decent point for Granada too!

Superb win for Udinese! Pretty much ended Napoli's title chances and now has them with a nice 6 point buffer over the relegation zone

Granada still right in the mix but a good point today

Think I missed Udinese's signing of Kuzmanovic. Last I heard of him was when he was linked with us in the summer!

How's he doing, Sherlock? Is he one for us to bring over to England this summer? :sign13:

Fernandes has looked quite a prospect for a few years, how's he getting on?

Looking at the fixtures, Granada's run in looks quite good especially the next five games excluding the game on Sunday against Atletico Madrid, the last two games it is unlikely there will be any points gained but hopefully three wins in the next five should secure safety.

    @JH93:
Kuzmanovic doing decently so far. Particularly well yesterday, when used finally in his natural position by the new (excellent so far!) manager.

    @The PozzMan
Fernandes has been somewhat disappointing for 1.5 seasons after a brilliant debut in his first season, as everyone was waiting his full blossoming.
But not entirely his fault. Within a team performing badly it's difficult to shine.
Also, he's been used in almost every position from holding midfielder to secondary striker in all the possible roles. Not something helping his development certainly.
I think he's going to be a very very good player. He has good feet and is an intelligent lad, always trying to improve. Nothing like Muriel, more naturally talented maybe but with a fraction of Fernandes's brain.
Yesterday he was very good, except for the two badly shooted pens. The first he was lucky and scored anyway, the second was parried. Another 21YO could have been disheartened after failing the chance for 2-1, instead he scored later the 2-1 with a really beautiful and clever bicicle kick seeing GK was off position.
I have great hopes for him and maybe next season he'll definitely show what he's worth.

As always, the Pozzo's have a lot of players out on loan, getting ready for future seasons.
    Three cases:

Piotr Zielinski (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/piotr-zielinski/profil/spieler/181136) is at Empoli and is doing a very good season. The hope is to see him in Udinese's midfield next season, but clubs like Liverpool and Napoli are already sniffing him, so that's not certain unfortunately.

Jakub Jankto (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jakub-jankto/profil/spieler/319160) is just 20YO and last season was one of the best in the Primavera team. He's on loan at Ascoli in serie B and is having simply a great season, with already 5 goals (some very good) and 8 assists. Not bad, for a CM.

Samir (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/samir/profil/spieler/255744) was bought in January by Granada from Flamengo for 5M€ and given immediately on loan to Hellas Verona. Most likely in order to have him at Udinese next season: he counts for one extra-EU-slot for Verona this year, but next season his transfer from there to another serie A team will be counted as an internal transfer and won't consume a slot for Udinese. He was always on the bench so far, then yesterday he played the full 90' and was MOTM and scored a goal. Not bad, for a defender.

Out of those players Sherlock who do you think is best suited to English football and likely to join us?

I'm the most excited about Issac Success, I think he looks physical enough to cope with the Premier League from the word go, the players you listed I have not watched although read about Zielinski being linked with big teams

Why do you assume any will come here? Aren't Udinese allowed to sign players for themselves now or everything they do is simply to serve the mighty Watford as best they can?

I think it is likely that the better players will join Watford due to the finances involved in the Premier League that's why I asked, especially the ones that maybe more suited to English football hence me asking who if any do you think would suit joining Watford.

Big game for Granada tonight, I reckon odds of 5/4 are pretty decent.

Ouch, at 32' Success alone in front of Malaga's GK ... definitely NOT clinical. Still 0-0.

This is the 4th or 5th Granada game I've watched recently and Doucoure is the only one of the three that could be at Watford next season to really impress me. He looks like a completely different option to our current midfield. Success and Penaranda are fast, strong but very raw. Their decision making is not good, Success panics in front of goal and Penaranda ignores better placed team mates. Be interesting to see how they develop in next couple of years...
