We are Bahebeck raiders... https://www.clubcall.com/watford/watford-eye-psg-hot-shot-after-stambouli-defeat-1775152.html
We went for Perotti. He wanted to go to Napoli, so we targeted the player who he would replace, who would still be good enough for our team (Inler). Now we are targeting Bahebeck, who would assumedly be rendered surplus to requirements with the acquisition of Stambouli. Who else do we have on record that we have definitely gone for and been unable to inspire a signature?
Bahebeck is a young attacker, not a defensive midfielder, so the two would have no bearing on each other.
not at all one a defensive mid, the other a forward Looks like Gino's hunting for attacking mids / 2nd strikers: Doumbia... Perotti... Berghuis... Bahebeck defensive / centre mid: Stambouli... Taider... think we may end up with Badu? Also a like for like back up for Troy
Firstly, despite what you might read on FIFA, I have seen him play a number of times on TV, and I've only ever seen Bahebeck play for PSG as a winger. Okay let me hone in on what I should have said. You have a maximum squad size. If you buy a player, you usually can let one go. It could be a complete coincidence that we are going after him a few days after we lost out on Stambouli to them, or it could be that we enquired who was surplus to requirements afterwards. I think the latter.
VoR has been quiet recently, maybe he has indeed taken over from Benitez. On topic, Bahebeck is a great player, wasted at PSG where he doesn't get much of a look-in. Thought he was one of Frances best players at Toulon either last year or the year before (I forget which)
Bahebeck was already on the radar, when it looked like Stambouli wasn't going to happen, Watford 'officially' pulled out to prevent Levy holding PSG to the price we had accepted in return for favourable terms on Bahebeck. Expect this deal to happen if the player fancies it.
One for the future maybe? ... As a striker I doubt he'll get much of a look in this term but should any of ours have a mad season and attract big bids they will need replacing if sold (could even happen this window, especially if a big team starts badly). It is the Pozzo way.
It is possible that he's not even destined for Watford. We have to start paying back Granada and Udinese for buying players for us eventually.
I would've thought that PSG went for Stambouli after they sold Cabaye to Crystal Palace. French CM Out - French CM In Also we were also linked with Bahebeck about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I suspect that PSG are offering us Bahebeck to get us to drop out of the running for Stambouli This will allow them to obtain their new fringe player on the Cheap (although they're not short of cash)
A typically continental way of doing business and one that the Pozzos are probably more than familiar with.
That would be true if he actually played as a striker anymore. He played over 20 games for PSG last season. I'm sure he would be good enough on our wing too, I'd certainly rather him than Gradel.
Could you go and be boring elsewhere please, you add nothing to the forum. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Watched him play for PSG last night in a friendly against Benfica. He played on the left wing, never saw much of the ball, when he did get it he used it well. Tall guy good with his feet but never really seen him open his legs.
Whilst the quality of what is between his legs is no doubt important to the player, it is of little relevance to his football playing ability!
But we're very tight on the foreign player limit as it is, if Gradel counts as home grown then that would make him a much more sensible option.
If we have more foreign players than we need, I think it is safe to assume that some of them will go on loan (even possibly some of the new ones). And that's if there's not a few sold between now and when it's important anyway... This limit is not an important issue until we have to name the 25 man squad, and that's not until the end of the transfer window, as in end of August. At the moment, this is a red herring, and when it gets to it, we'll get it sorted.
Sounds too much like Belek so lets just lend him straight to Stevenage and when he has ripped that league up....
