And another one pops up in the rumour mill... http://www.squawka.com/news/report-watford-plan-ambitious-chelsea-raid-for-mohamed-salah/402609
There seems to be a rule with football journalism this summer - when sports news goes quiet, find a player that is out of favour with their current squad and link him with Watford.
I thought that spurs were trying to get him in... would be very impressed if there was any substance in this.
No thanks, just like Guedioura he failed to make an impact in the PL. Pozzos will be aiming for better.
"They will likely have to strengthen a lot more if they are to really challenge for survival in their first season back in the Premier League." People really aren't giving us a chance are they?
Why are most of you refusing to believe that "Lil Old Watford" could possibly be in for some of the players we have been linked with? Wake Up!!! We are not "Lil Old Watford" any more, we are in the PREMIER LEAGUE!!! Furthermore this time we have "The Pozzo's" who will not want us to lose that hard won status! Therefore I believe we will be going in for the class of players we have been linked with, not all of them of course, but why not Mohamed Salah on loan? Someone has said that we have no hope of getting him as Spurs also want him; but if I was Mourinho I would be more inclined to loan him to us, rather than Spurs, who he would probably perceive as more of a threat to his own team. The Pozzo's will invest what is needed to keep us in the PL, of that I am sure!!!
Doubt either us or Spurs are likely to compete for the Premier League. Spurs are more likely to take points off the teams who will compete. Anyway, Sky Sports reported this afternoon that Fiorentina have the first option to re-loan him. If he rejects that, he has to either stay at Chelsea or be sold. Not sure how true that is, but if it is the case then we wouldn't be able to get him on loan.
I can't see it happening. But then I didn't see Tevez and Mascherano joining Wet Spam. Would be an amazing signing. If anyone can the Pozzos can.
If Chelsea wanted Chalobahs 30k a week paying, I certainly imagine they'll want Salahs 40-50k salary paid for. Not convinced we'll stretch to that for a loanee.
Fiorentinas arrangement with Chelski gave them first option on a loan for this season - so there are only 2 places he will play next year - Chelsea or Florence So - just forget this one (unfortunately)
Nope, I think that spurs are going to buy him with the money they receive from us. Hence all the confusion.
