That is fine - was not a first 11 player last year so unlikely to be this year. Good to get a fee and off wage bill
Part of me would be sad to see him go as his heart really seemed with us, and he wasn't the worst player we've ever had in that position either. However, as others have said already, if he wasn't considered a first-choice regular last season in the Championship, then realistically we should be and indeed can be aiming higher.
Sad to see him go as he was always Mr 100% but I agree his chances now look limited to say the least.
Best wishes to him If he goes. Wasn't he one of the very first Pozzo era players to sign and to feature in the team? He'll never have to buy a drink inWatford, for whomever he plays.
I'd be very sad to see Pudil leave, but it's probably only fair to him since he's not been getting game time. He might not be a world class left sided player but he's undoubtedly bought into the club and has done his level best. You really couldn't ask for more.
I really like Dan, a solid left back for the championship. He filled a gap where many have failed, and although he didn't play a huge role last season I still think he would be beneficial as a squad player this year. If he goes, then all the best Dan. Brighton isn't too far away and he should be able to see Vyds fairly often I would have thought.
Mr 100%, but probably not PL standard, he will always be welcome at The Vic :sign15: I wish him good luck with his future career and thanks for the memories :sign15:
A very good Pozzo purchase, did a good job in his first season, tailed off a bit in the other two, but that's football
Now that all 3 Pozzo clubs are in the respective top divisions I can see some of the pool of players that are not quite good enough leaving.
Pozzo fringe players never completely leave. They just get sold off and traded in fractional increments in exchange for leverage with other clubs.
Pudil and Munari were 2 of our best players at the start of last season and both were unlucky not end up to playing more games. Especially with Paredes and Layun struggling to adapt to the Championship.
Sorry moog, love him as a player and a human being, but if he turns up in my gaff he has to pay for his fizzy pop. I'm not running a charity.
Almost impossible for him to stay now Prodl is here. Giving the coach a headache he could do without.
Yep, gutted, top top pro and good player but we need better in the squad to stay up now. Top lad tho, sad but that's football.
Would still be a solid backup in that position. Makes as many heroic goal line blocks as any other Watford player I can remember.
I was probably one of his most vocal critics on here, but if it wasn’t for his ability to throw himself into the Watford adventure, we wouldn’t be the club we are now. Looking at the 25 man squad rules, he just doesn’t really have a chance of making it. Brighton are a good club, doing things the right way and I think he will do well there. All the best Danny.
Brighton have moved to Athens to merge with AEK, didn't you know? They're now called the AEK Seagulls.
