Apparently Perotti is a man on the edge and can't face crying himself to sleep in 2 years time when we suddenly sell him. He was just too proud to say.
Anyone consider that Perotti may prefer Bournemouths attacking football as opposed to our 4-6-0 formation? If he's had a change of mind in coming to England, he'd probably like a team where he'll fit in well to impress the top 4 teams.
They accepted our bid ages ago, and he didn’t want to come to us. They have even signed a replacement in Capel, just in case a good bid comes in last-minute. I think they are pretty sorted either way, with a desperate Bournemouth throwing money at a Gradel replacement.
Does Gradel have to return to school now? Have I missed an injury? Can't see any reports of this on SSN.
Must be something about the area.I habitually got lost going to West Hants LTC! I had a quick check on the Bournemouth Echo site and could find no mention of him being linked with them, but happy to be shot down as a buffoon!
TBF it's easily done; you go looking for a swimming pool and you're surprised to find a stadium there instead.
That's no way to run the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. :]] Kirill Karabits is in bits about it......:dismay:
No Perotti, & Gradel's out injured until 2016. Not a good window for The Best Manager Ever Of The Century or whatever it was they named him.
I believe it was "Supreme Leader, the finest example of humanity ever to walk the earth. That is, if he did walk the earth instead of levitating gently above it."
If Wilson or Ritchie get injured I think Muff could struggle . Was a small squad last year and they be not really added any quality, apart from Gradel and he's out long term.
Yeah De Guzman was meant to get on a flight to come over for a medical and just didn't bother it sounds like. Lol. Also, apparently they bid €15.5m for Perotti! Genoa turned it down anyway.
I so hope that's true. I bet they sent a bloke to the airport to pick him up like we did with Ibarbo....& he wasn't there! Hilarious.
Tbf, they did pick up an almost 32 year old crystal palace reserve striker for c£5m so not all was lost ...:]]
Looks like De Guzman is undergoing some sort of groin surgery - either that or he lied his way out of a Bournemouth deal
They've lost one of their pacy attacking players for 6 months and added Murray who is erm, not quite as quick as Gradel. Could turn out to be a good signing for them and you don't want to see other players out injured but it's been a very poor last week of the window for our fellow promoted clubs imo. Norwich fans are really depressed now from what I can see. They failed to get rid of Grabban, so they're stuck with him now, Palace pulled the plug on the Gayle move at the last second, they haven't signed centre back competition for Martin and Bassong and they sold Johnson who is a **** but I thought was a pretty good player!
That's all fine as long as the player wants to be there. Which he clearly doesn't and Alex Neil is furious with him.
Irrespective of his inflated price tag, I reckon Murray could prove to be a good signing. They create a lot of chances and he knows where the back of the net is. I'm pleased they didn't get De Guzman though - was a very good player at Swansea.
Talk about desperation. Doubled our valuation. Strange how they sit back and let other clubs scout and then try and muscle in at the last minute. Tinpot.
I assume it was Muff & not us... http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/602444/rejected-English-bid-Watford-Bournemouth-target
Factually incorrect of the article to say our bid earlier this summer was turned down. It was accepted but the player rejected the move.
