This might be our deadline day big signing - probably with forestieri going the other way..

    just a thought

I don't know why we haven't just ****ing signed him. Tell him about it afterwards--he'll get over it like Holebas did.

Genoa have signed Diego Capel (€1.3m) might be a replacement for Perotti.

Could just be competition for the left side or Perotti will play on the right.

I just find it strange that we have a fee agreed with Genoa.
Player is unsure he wants a move to England.
    No other moves materialize.
Watford declare themselves out of the running.
    *nothing for weeks
Genoa president then warns watford he's not for Sale.
Seems to me like he was just looking to get our attention again or publicly showing his own fans that he's trying to keep his best players while likely selling in the background.

I think this is still on!

The guy does NOT want to play here. He's turned us down at least twice now.

If he goes anywhere it'll be Inter but he's conveniently just got injured for a couple of weeks so he's not going anywhere I don't think. Certainly not to us, you sound like someone who has been dumped and can't let go of their ex.

Close to joining Bournemouth on loan apparently. Frustrating.

You've got to assume that the only way they'd get him is if they go really, really big on wages.

I remember people on twitter lauding it up over Bournemouth fans that they were signing Gradel, because we were signing the much superior Perotti.

    awkward.

Obviously likes it by the seaside. Fair play to him.

Would give me even more reason to dislike Bournemouth. Even though we have made more than our fair share of signings in this window, not to mention being linked with every second player to ever strap on a boot. This is actually one player that I was excited about when he was linked with us

Same, I think everyone was excited about him. I know we're probably get Ibarbo now, but it still burns a bit.

Don't think Perotti is particularly quick. Sounds like this might be because Gradel has an injury, their fans are worried it could be a long one.

Plus I've only seen they're negotiating with Genoa, we got that far and then he apparently didn't want to move to England!

I'll take your word for it, I'm only going on YouTube videos! Doesn't look to have to have raw pace, just shifts the ball quickly and is nippy, like Deeney said Fernando was quick with the ball at his feet.

Perotti isn't slow but he's not the fastest, Ibarbo would leave him eating dust.

Wouldn't surprise me if Muff offer him a lot more in wages than we were willing to offer which may swing the deal.

****, Gradel out for 6 months! Plus Mings got a bad injury, their two big money signings injured! And Daniels their other left back is injured.

    I wouldn't be.

With their track record he'll be injured in 2 games time.

Got to admit that I would not be impressed at all if he suddenly wanted to move to England and we were not at least in contact.

I don't see why he would turn us down but then join them? His reasons were apparently all to do with moving country?

Hes not power and pace like Ibarbo, hes more like Vydra or Anya, pace wise.

Would be rather pissed off if he went to Muff, as he has the end product that Ibarbo may not quite possess.

So the reports so far say that Bournemouth are trying to get him.

If they're trying to get him, then surely we would try again, one last time before the window closes? Especially after all the time Gino spent on trying to get it done the first time.

They're also apparently in for Will Buckley so it seems as though they're rushing around to replace Gradel and are making offers for multiple wingers, and will go with whichever one comes off for them.

Someone else (Berghuis) would have to go if we got Perotti now, unless we ship out Ibarbe in what would be a world record turnaround even for us.
