The first wolf had quite the spring in his step as he near enough danced up the path towards fox in the box’s pharmacy. The villagers had lost an important participant, and this pleased this particular wolf greatly. And for good reason. Better reason than he could possibly imagine in fact.

*Please click here for suitable mood music for the remainder of this part of the dawn write-up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpI-IlHoKAY (Please loop this music until the first kill scene is over, if you don’t mind.)*

The wolf can canned his way up to the front door, booting it down with a swift and accentuated roundhouse.

“Oh foxyyyyyy!” The wolf whistled as if to call out to a dog.

Fox in the box was still asleep. He’d prescribed himself some very strong sleeping pills a few days previous, believing that this way, should he ever be the chosen victim of one of the wolves, at least he wouldn’t have to be conscious for the ordeal. It was working a treat.

The wolf burst into the bedroom, all jazz hands and eyelid flutters. He slapped fox’s face about a bit, chucked the glass of water on the bedside table over him, and finally flung the glass itself at fox’s head. No reaction.

The wolf shrugged, and incorporated a fireman’s lift into the dance he was still doing. He two-stepped off, victim aloft.

They were at the football pitch now. Fox was dropped onto the pitch, in the centre circle. The wolf, still swaying side to side, dancing, shrugged his shoulders again, and began to kick fox about. Like a ragdoll, fox’s limp body was no match for the power of the wolf’s feet and legs.

The wolf was actually able to kick fox some distance, and he ran around the pitch as if fox were a football and the wolf was doing practice drills.

Finally, the wolf approached the penalty box. Chuckling, the wolf looked up, dummied a pass across the six yard box, and blased a shot at goal. Fox in the box flew into the top corner off the post and was dead, dead, dead.

The net was stained red. The post was smeared with red blood. fox in the box was GOOD.

The wolf ran off celebrating. Sliding on his knees towards the corner flag, he mimed the shooting of two guns. “Pow pow pow! GOOOOOAAAAAAAL!”

AshdonWFC was taking notes on his favourite home brew, ‘Divlas Bara’. It was made with a malt barley from Cornwall. Sipping studiously, he made a note of colour, consistency, bitterness, aftertaste, stench… He was perfecting his recipe and process.

He could not see, but behind him was a dark silhouette. A lupine shadow.

A furry claw shoved a tube into Ashdon’s mouth, and the wolf clamped down Ashdon’s jaw so that he could not spit it out. With a foot pump, the wolf began to force-feed Ashdon butter. Ashdon could do nothing but make a muffled screaming kind of noise.

After a few hours, Ashdon lost all colour to his face, and was limp and fat. His heart had collapsed, and he was now over 40% butter. Driving a hand up Ashdon’s… ‘arris… the wolf took Ashdon’s juicy, greasy liver out of his body, and licked his lips.

    “Foie gras!”

We all know what the wolf did next. Another culinary masterpiece.

The juice wasn’t so black this time. In fact it was “divine,” according to the wolf.

    AshdonWFC was VERY GOOD.

The Guardian sat outside steve harrow's house all night, but nothing happened.

Great, I assume we have no more seers left?

Told you not to kill off Mike!

Well now we are a bit screwed.

So 3 very good players have died? 2 seers and a Witness? As the guardian is still alive

the guardian was outside your house, so hopefully we still have them. We may still have the Martyr as well, which if the Alpha wolf is still alive might be in our favor

I did have a feeling that Mike was the seer but ultimately his association with Nairobi got him my vote. I now know that the 1st message yesterday was from Mike and Nairobi is good.( sorry mate - hope all goes well today )

Hopefully we have a new seer. i expect some strange writing styles today, but we now go back to sq 1. Nairobi is the only person named as good who is still alive.

Moog will know that he is in the firing line and will expect an onslaught today. I'm sure that he'll get a mention somewhere in the messages.

A long day ahead. i think some of the quieter players or non aggressive players will also start to come into question today.

The only player left that has been named at all is Nairobi.

The message yesterday which said he was good was from the wolf

It was me that pointed out that Mike was probably the seer yesterday. Why would I have done that if i was evil ?

    IGNORE MY PREVIOUS COMMENT

Turns out the seers message clears Nairobi so we have nothing but suspicion to go on

A lot of people said that.

The camp was split by people believing him and people thinking it was a last ditch attempt to save himself (like myself)

Why would you vote to lynch the seer if you were good?

But he posted the hint right at the start of the day, it wasn't last minute.

I think there is a fair following that didn't try to defend him yesterday and pushed for Mike all day

you could ask that of the other 8 or 9 good players as well

I had advocated since day 2 that I thought Nairobi was evil and wanted to vote for him.
Moog hadn't been mentioned in any message yet there was a wave to vote for him, not named good or bad anywhere, just suspicion.
Mike had been named as evil in one of the messages, so was the most likely. You always know that the wolf will do and say anything to survive and that puts doubt in your mind.
If it was clear cut by the time i had to vote, as it was with Darave, i would have voted for nairobi
As it turns out that was wrong as well

Besides, who said you were evil? Bit defensive your initial reaction.

Well not the best of nights really. We can't beat ourselves up, as said above Mike suggesting he was the seer sounded like a desperate attempt to save himself. Immediately my thoughts turn to moog and WAS who seems to be defending him. Admittedly I need to look through all the messages in previous games more carefully but I probably won't get a chance until this evening after work.

Other suspect is Nairobi, we need to think carefully aboout who we want to side with here - we potentially have masons, or wolves that know each other.

EDIT: Oops, as mentioned above I think Nairobi is clear now

Not the last 12 hours we wanted! Hope still yet though. Is it 2 wolves and 15 good now?

We don't know which very good roles have been killed. Masons wouldn't be "very good" would they? Seers, martyr, governor, guardian and witness perhaps? Governor is definitely dead and guardian alive. Thanks for the protection last night :)

I'm torn as to whether Miked was the Seer. He wouldn't have named himself as good on day 2 and not viewed anyone else but at the same time, he predicted he'd be mentioned by the Seer. The Wolf seems to have picked up on that too and named him as evil so it wasn't perhaps the best tactic in hindsight. The problem we had yesterday was a lack of proper alternative. Moog might be evil yet but there's little or no evidence.

Time to check out Miked and Ashdon's voting patterns.

    no one did.

As the field gets smaller you do tend to find that those who have been mentioned and suspected earlier in the game start to chuck a lot of mud hoping some stick, to divert the attention away from themselves

Was it? I thought the message clearing Nairobi was the one which cleared Miked, ergo from the Seer. As much as it irks me to admit it - I think that means Nairobi is the only player who we can say is definitely good.

As mentioned yesterday - I don't see how Miked could have been the seer, based on his failure to vote for Cude on Day 1. It was his insistence that he was "proven good" even though he wasn't and his hinting that he was the seer which condemned him, in my view. Whatever his role, I don't believe he handled it very well.

I am sick of this "very good" malarky. Just tell us, guardian, seer, martyr, witness etc. It is making the game impossible.

I suspect we may only have 1 or 0 messages today, if the seer has in fact bought the farm. In which case, we're going to have to go on suspicion and that means I'm probably for the high jump and we waste another day.

Being defensive is not the same as being a wolf. Good people who are accused are also defensive. PLEASE don't let's make Werewolf I mistakes. This is Werewolf XVI.

What we have to go on:

Messages - I think most people named in them are now dead - apart from Nairobi, who's definitely good unless I have missed something?
Voting - who has voted randomly, early or has tried to lead the pack?
Two Wolves - remember, the two wolves probably know each other, so who has been trying to subtly collude to steer the rest of us?

  24. With A Smile

    With A Smile First Team

    I voted randomly !

I was right about diamond though !!!!!

back to my fishing, i might have to go back a few days to see who or what i was trying to catch on day 3

  25. wfcmoog

    wfcmoog Tinpot

Presumably an attempt to get me to be "all defensive" so that people can go and fetch their pitchforks and lynching torches?

There are two types of players to this game - those who try and work out who is evil based on logic and elimination of suspects, and those who wildly accuse people and try and then find "evidence" to support their accusations.

At the moment, I have been mentioned 3 times in this thread, yet I've never been viewed or named, I've never accused anyone at random to try and deflect attention away from myself and also - the wolves have done a terrible job of killing any of my accusers!

Look at wolf kills, look at voting patterns, look at player roles.

I don't claim to have all the answers, but let's at least start by asking the right questions!

  26. wfcmoog

    wfcmoog Tinpot

You have played rather randomly though. This isn't an accusation, but I think it was Day 3? You went a bit whacko towards the end of the day. And as I said to Norway previously, voting randomly is dangerous.

Selfishly I can't deny I'm not grateful that you didn't vote for me, but in hindsight, I would have been a minor loss compared to Miked.

Be interesting to see if we get two messages today. If we've lost our second seer we will be in huge trouble!

  28. wfcmoog

    wfcmoog Tinpot

How many "very good" players have we now lost?

    Norway
    Ashdon
    Miked

How many "very good" roles are there in the game?

  29. nornironhorn

You mean like you have been doing?

  30. wfcmoog

    wfcmoog Tinpot

    3 Wolves
    2 Seers
    1 Traitor
    1 Tinker
    1 Witness
    1 Martyr
    4 Masons
    1 Guardian
    1 Governor
    13 Villagers

I presume "Very good" can apply to Guardian, seers (x2), witness and martyr. We know TVOR was governor, so that's a moot point. We also know that the guardian is still alive, as he stayed outside Steve's house "all night."

We've therefore lost 3/4 of the two seers, the witness and the martyr.

  31. wfcmoog

    wfcmoog Tinpot

Theory - could mike have been the martyr? His hinting yesterday to not only avoid the lynching, but to attract a wolf kill and thus take out the alpha wolf.

  32. With A Smile

    With A Smile First Team

I don't disagree with that, but as you know if things go stale then something needs to happen to kick start things again. When i named Diamond on day one, i did say that something is needed to stir things up. I then named Diamond again on day 2 and day 3 he tried to kill me. If he had the clues would have been there for all to see.

On day 3 darave was already a gonner so i thought i would look at who was pushing and steering villagers towards him. A little like PO pointing the finger, sometimes you get a reaction that just triggers something, someone getting very defensive or disappearing ( as Diamond did ) after they are accused. As I've said a little bit of fishing can be fun.

I haven't a "main" role, but will quite happily keep exploring the unknown to help team good win, even if it means that i'm sacrificed.

Wouldn't we know if the Alpha had been killed as well ? or do we have to wait to tonight to find out ?

  34. wfcmoog

    wfcmoog Tinpot

Eh? I'm not saying the Alpha was killed. I'm saying that Miked wanted to survive the lynching and then get eaten, but he got lynched so it didn't happen.

    Are you playing dumb?

Hopefully we have some masons left, could mean potentially 4 people know each other.
