The tavern is now open to all.

Whether you're living or dead, come on down for a drink ahead of the final lynching of the game.

Opti, have one on me. Good luck tonight.

I still think you would have made a fine addition to Cassiobury Rangers Cude, I was going to offer you a contract after the performance you put in against the scummers :drinking:

As the game has gone to the final day it's well played both sides. It's good to be on the winning side, or at worst 2nd!

I'd just like to thank everyone not only for being so kind in their evaluation of how I've run the game, but also for playing their part in what has been a really fun game to watch and oversee.

It was hard work - harder than I thought it would be actually - but I enjoyed the experience and learned a lot about how the game works.

I will probably write up the final scene a bit later on as I'm a bit busy for now. It should be online by about 8.

The daily thread has been updated.

Further to my message at the bottom, I will list a few of the literary inspirations I've used along the way at some point too. Some of the scenes (today's being one of the more obvious ones) were reference-heavy on a novel or film, and some used long passages and adapted them (like today's).

Hope you've enjoyed this as much as I have.

I'll do another one I'm sure but variety is good and I'll happily not run one for a while.

I reckon TVOR should run one to see what it's like ;) :drinking:

At least I have the opportunity to deliver this to you my spirited self, rather than coming up with a unique way to pen my words which, quite frankly, I'd run out of!

Come welcome one, Come welcome all,
    Come welcome Werewolf friends,
The battle fought the war is done,
    It's time to make amends.

We killed, we maimed, we slayed, we bayed,
    To some it would appall,
By knife, by gun, by boot, by fist,
    Too many to list all!

One village mob, One vicious pack,
    Affected by a curse,
At times was pretty hard to tell,
    Which EVIL side was worse!

A win for "GOOD" and final peace,
The last wolf put to bed,
    Opti slashed and chiseled down,
Watched on by live and dead.

Such a shame my time so brief,
The wolf I could not fend,
At least I still could entertain,
    Despite my quilling end.

    A massive thanks to 352,
    For managing us through,
A top class game with great write ups,
    You now deserve a brew!

Come welcome one come welcome all,
To ye my hat I'll doff,
It' been a laugh it's been good fun,
    This is Meh, signing off!

    Cheers and bottoms up!

    Thank you 352!!

Can't congratulate you though Opti sorry, your tactics don't sit quite right with me but it's no big deal that's how some play maybe I would've if I was the wolf.

Look forward to the next one!!

Your poetry made this game. Thank you, and I hope we have another series next round, whenever that may be.

so is that why you ran your mouth about being the full moon wolf? im convinced evil could have won if you had just been declared as a wolf, rather than you letting on fairly obviously that you had been turned. im not completely sure that I liked the full moon rule in this game, but that is something that can be reviewed.

out of interest squibba, why don't my tactics sit right with you? staying quiet is a very valid tactic that has been used by both wolfs and seers throughout the majority of werewolf games on this forum.

does this mean I was ignoring the game? certainly not. if 352 wants to he can publish the emails I was sending him throughout the game, usually 4-5 a day during which we were discussing what was going on.

I have read all the complaints about quiet players, however I don't quite understand them. a lot of the complaints seem to come from newer players too. I do agree that it is not enough to just post a vote at the end of each day, but limiting peoples play styles would in my opinion ruin the game.

Speaking on behalf of a newbie, I admit that I didn't understand the amount of silence coming from some players as I thought that it was a much more vocal game. Perhaps that's just my naivety. I will be a lot more tactical in my next game (maybe the odd poem or two). Perhaps people will look at that and say i'm playing out of character and suspect me straight away, but it's ultimately me knowing the game a bit better.

I personally think you would have stood out a lot more if:

    a. There weren't so many other quieter players who were just popping in and out and voting
    b. There weren't so many newer players - not sure what the ratio of new vs experienced was but a couple of people mentioned it so assume there were a few.

I've read the arguments and agree that a daily post limit seems wrong, or should be at the discretion of the moderator, however perhaps a warning at the start: "You do realise this takes up a lot of time, so think carefully before committing"!
