well it was fun ! I never liked birds anyway

Thanks for those that voted, my agent, the whole Werewolf family and crew.

Thanks for reminding me re message timings Matt; once that "issue" was out of the way, & the more I thought about it, I couldn't get away from the fact that the second message yesterday would have viewed WAS if it was from the Seer. Glad I did right by WAS finally but bad luck for team good that Squibba lives to fight/kill another day.

Can you imagine if the game ended with the two wolves eating each other?

Forgot to say- the tavern was closed at the time I read it so I couldn't post then, but Meh's poem yesterday was brilliant.

I also enjoyed watching 352's bird make the decision, so even though the outcome wasn't what we wanted more of the same if there's another tie in the future!

Yes, agree - mini HH was a big fan of the bird "race" too. Just a shame she's on team evil's side (the bird not mini HH).

I haven't yet been sent everything for the night phase. As I have to be up at 5 tomorrow I need to go to bed pretty soon. If I don't have the info really soon I'm going to open up the village late, during my break at work, with a fairly brief write-up (as I can't really prepare for it not knowing who's killing who, etc etc).

I figured this wouldn't be a massive problem because PhlippineOrn was the one that struggled most with time zone difficulties, and sonofben usually doesn't start playing until later in the day anyway given he is a few hours behind the UK.

Can only apologise. It would be a drab way to end, killing off the night players and declaring the end of the game. I thought this would be the best way to do things.

So, night players, could you please email me what you need to email me as soon as you can so that I can open the village tomorrow.

In all likelihood the village won't be open until 11am tomorrow.

Sorry. I'll give you names when the game's over so you can berate them.

I'm sure no one will mind the late start. Certainly not an issue for me - I'll be in a lengthy meeting from 10am until probably near 3pm anyway and can't be sure whether I'll get a chance to read the thread on a break.

I should be able to get the village open early actually. I've only been able to write something short though.

    TO BED!

[Nairobi was teaching the art of self defence on the OHP (yes I'm old!). He picked up the next slide and carefully placed it in the screen, but instead of explaining the ancient Japanese art of Unagi, the words thrown upon the wall were words Nairobi had never seen before]

The harvest moon switched GOOD to bad,
    A virgin hirsute stray,
A fresh outlook upon the roles,
    A new EVIL in play.

It’s first to fall it’s first to drop,
The first to feel it’s rage,
A shotgun blazing through the chest,
    Smashed Philippines rib cage!

“YOU CAN’T STOP US NOW” in blood red text,
    The beast had scribed unfazed,
2 dripping limbs thrust in the air,
The steaks had now been raised!

    Elsewhere Cassetti met his maker,
    I hope not to offend,
But death by axe wound and a chopper?
    Quite the fitting end!

Dark days befell the village squad,
    An EVIL flip reverse,
A crossroad hit, two wolves to trap,
    To vent this wretched curse.

    A draw, a tie, a split, deadlock,
    No winner by a mile,
Two men enter one man leaves,
    Squibba or With A Smile,

But who to lynch and who to spare,
Their fate still yet to seal,
    Their destiny decided
    By a teasing Cockatiel!

A peck, a cheep, a soul to reap,
    An avian judge and jury,
With a Smile was down in one,
    To Squibba's fist of fury.

Another GOOD brought to their knees,
Wolves filled with joy and mirth,
The'yd soon be on the prowl again,
    Those lupine hell on earth.

[Nairobi quickly grabbed the slide itself to inspect the text, but the words had vanished. A clear slide lay before him. Putting it down to the stressful events of the day, everyone dismissed it as the beer and Squibba got another round in.]

Nice! Feel somewhat sorry for Squibba. Having to change tack and immediately being viewed as evil. Yesterday's bluff could only last so long and perhaps he hoped WAS was a tinker.

    Good work again new Seer!

    Well played.

    Surprised I lasted last night.

Turning evil and then being named the same day was annoying, I had no chance.

    Good work seer.

[Opti's dole money hadn't cleared again so was eating his usual fall back meal of alphabetti spaghetti on toast when he let out a shriek!!! The other Tavern dwellers gathered around in time to see the words form on the plate]

    My audience, my village ears,
    The platform for my verse,
But less and less of you I sense,
    Lost to this endless curse,

Heppy had hoped of winning crufts,
    Canine rosettes and cups,
Now all Heppy was useful for was
    Dog food for her pups!

    It couldn’t catch the roadrunner,
    So took Heppy instead.
    That wile e coyote dropped,
    An anvil on her head!

Some hope at least, a shining light,
    A death they did prevent,
    The guardian of WFCMatt,
    An undisclosed Clarke Kent!

Protect thee well, protect thee strong,
Guard thee with all their might,
Repellent to the night time fiend,
    A wolfdogs’s kryptonite.

    Votes today, conclusion foregone,
    a landslide and a rout,
Poor squibba had no bl00dy chance,
    A fixed one-sided bout.

No Special move could save him now,
    No Tombstone piledrive.
    The undertaker fought his last,
    Squibba would not survive.

    A cold calculating suicide,
A black blood beast he be,
They'd bagged a wretched EVIL swine,
The mob cheered out with glee:

    “Squibba, Squibba is no GOOD,
Chop ' him up for firewood.
When he's dead, bash him on the head,
    turn him into gingerbread!”

    Congratulations to you all,
A fine end to this day,
Just one more thing before I go,
Just one more thing to say,

    Death by chopper, butchers knife,
    Death by squawking birds,
You need to solve this soon folks,
'cause I'm running out of words!

[Opti must have stretched to 2 tins this meal!]

[Sonofben was playing the latest episode of suits he'd recorded, his favourite legal show, to the last remaining Tavern residents. Harvey had just told Mike off for doing something stupid because he lead with his heart and not his head, when Donna came in. Instead of her usual non-legal-but-super-intuitive-advice-on-how-to-solve-the-situation-perfectly words, she started reciting something strange:

The Tavern closed, run out of stock,
No shop to sell them ale,
A quiet night no folk about,
Well, except one with a tail!

That wily fox, that cunning stoat,
    That master of surprise,
An clear-cut choice for his next kill,
    A GOOD mason’s demise.

Poor Norn faced the final curtain,
My friend I’ll say it clear,
    A hairy lupine wrecking ball,
The price Norn paid was dear.

352, you trying to stump me?,
    Words rhymed with Sinatra?
That reminds me, I must go haunt,
    Aunt Dotty in Sumatra ;)

Day 10 arrives the weekend comes,
    Could a beast be shown?
    No such luck another GOOD,
    Another of their own!

A lack of clarity on his role in the game,
Meant that the village was drawn to his name.
Once again though they tried all they could
To get an EVIL, but steve harrow was GOOD.

    A happy cheerful smiling wolf,
    Another night to feast,
Better get smart and pin him soon,
    Or victory… to the beast!

[Harvey looked at her with that glint in his eye. He new. She knew. Jessica walked in and asked where Captain Reynolds was.]
