Watson made a good decision. Evaluated everything pretty quickly - if it had been 5 minutes in then I imagine the correct action is to let him go and hope for the best.
Yes it also sits uncomfortably with me but if we stay up by a point then f*** it, I can forgive and forget.
That can't be right as a source on the link below says it's a 3 match ban. http://www.wfcforums.com/showthread.php?58542-Southampton-FC-1-1-Watford-FC-13-08-2016/page11

I'm not worried about the red card at all, I'm more shocked at just how slow Watson is. Long gave him a 3 day head start.
Long as always going to outstrip him for pace and Watson did what he had to do. The real issue is how was Watson left all alone at the back for our own corner? We weren't even losing!
Ginger Ben Where was Watson today then? Surely not injured too? I suspect he'll be needed next week given Behrami's booking today. Surprised Watson wasn't in the squad given Behrami's recent shocking performances. It worries me that Walter has so much confidence in Behrami to leave Wato out completely. I get the impression it doesn't matter how poor he is he'll never be replaced.
Never going to happen but I'm hoping that Watson picks up a knock this week and Doucoure comes in, plays a blinder and becomes our main defensive midfielder. I'm convinced he's a better player than Behrami after his performances at Granada last season. I don't mean that as a slight on Watson by the way, he should have had far more game time this season after some of Behrami's performances...
Doucoure's lack of involvement is a mystery it's true. I thought he would be ideally suited to this league.
I saw him in a local shisha lounge last night. He's a regular apparently and has told the owner to not put him on any social media or get him in any photos. Was disappointed to be honest, I thought he'd be key this season but if he's not even taking his time here seriously then he's probably off on loan in Jan and he's written off his days up till then.
Doucoure and Kenedy are two players who should at the very least be in the squad every week. We all know what will happen; they'll go elsewhere in the January window and bang in goals galore and we'll all be left wondering.
In fairness, Behrami had a very good game against Leicester. Wouldn't have made a lot of sense to start Watson ahead of him after that.
Was Doucoure actually named in the final cut? Thought he was kept by a last min mistake and not named and hence can't play?
Burnley away. Plus on TV for Chelsea... Not that it matters. I've never seen Messi play live but you know what he's about.
Of course it matters? I'll be honest and say the only time I've seen Kenedy play live is vs Burnley so I'll trust Mazzarri's judgement over mine, as he sees him in training every day.
Watford have a bad result and suddenly the players not good enough to start for us are amazing players who will be our saviours, even if the people heralding them as such admit that they have hardly ever seen them play. Happens every bloody season. Ah yes, 4 league starts for Chelsea in their famous 15/16 season. It's a disgrace that we haven't given him the armband yet really.
You really do get annoyed very easily. Fans have opinions, we all see things in different ways. You clearly see a team that is fully functioning and well gelled. However, I don't. It's not something that requires you to get *****y over.
No I don't and have never said anything that would make you think as much. If you're going to make individual threads for cliched thoughts then you have to expect criticism from people who are tired of hearing the same thing over and over again.
Is it really such an irrational or unreasonable thought to suggest that Watson deserves a chance of Behrami?
