Depends on the keeper, not all will be that tight to the near post. Though it looked bad I thought Smithies was unlucky rather than it being just a howler, he can't have expected it though it's not the first time Igs has scored near post either.

Currently our best striker. Best form, best hold up play, best finishing, best work rate, best attitude. Guaranteed starter.

Plus he's shown he can play with any of the other strikers we have. It's Ighalo plus one other for me at the moment.

Oh and he goes past people like they're not there. He's actually really quality. I think I love him.

Actually plays like he gives a ****!

I'd drop Vydra and given Troy a rest in the next couple of games. Give Ighalo and FF a chance.

Reminded me of Deeney's goal vs Wigan. On another day that goes through Smithies' legs and doesn't look so bad. Either way, deserved his reward for the movement and determination to get into the box. Also impressed he stayed on his feet while he was having his arm and shirt pulled by the defender.

Great player, even better attitude. Ighalo needs to start. Even if that means Vydra finding another club. I love Vydra, will never forget his goals against Leicester or Brentford but if him not starting means he wants to leave then so be it.

If he stays, goes on the bench for a bit then his form merits a return to the first team then even better.

As I said in the match-thread, Vydra had his back to goal for most of the game, when Ighalo came on, he actually made runs in behind the defence and we instantly looked more dangerous.

Best striker at the club at the moment with the attitude to match. Should be starting every game whilst that continues.

Drop Vydra, give Troy a rest and let Ighalo and FF hace another go at it, especially after the 4-2 win vs Cardiff. Ashame that guy went back to Palace, showed some grit in midfield.

Make no mistake, Ighalo is a better player than Vydra.

Probably playing with a point to prove..

Maybe if Vydra was dropped for a few games he might come back with that as well.

Vydra is a far better finisher and therefore goalscorer though.

Disagree, although that's not meant as a slight to Ighalo.

He's undoubtedly in better form right now though.

Vydra is a joke and his attitude stinks how many goals has he scored this year I think 3 or 4 hardly one of the best finishes in the league.Ighalo has scored just as many I think with hardly any starts. Its time to bench vydra and Deeney and start Ighalo and FF.I would love to know how many shots Vydra has had on goal this year not many can someone please tell me what he has done this year because to me he has been utter dog****e bar his performance at Sheffield wed.

Maybe if you did actually do this we wouldn't all have to read such ridiculous drivel.

He's scored 7 goals this season by the way.

There's nothing wrong with Vydra. We're just not playing to his strengths. I'd have Ighalo in for Deeney on recent form, and I'm sure Vydra would find himself with more space and knock downs, flick ons etc.

7 goals and 5 assists in 23 appearances this season.

Forestieri has 4 goals and 2 assists in 16 appearances.

So statistically, they are very similar and you wanting to play Forestieri over him isn't based off of anything statistical.

So you'd better throw some insults Forestieri's way, if you are consistent.

I would rather FF because he always gives 100% and you can't ask for more than that.Ighalo and FF were top draw against Cardiff away, creating a lot more chances than Vydra & Deeney have been.I just think if FF was given a run of games with Ighalo they will start scoring lots of goals.I think it is pure madness he does not start every game what a player and talent and atleast he cares the complete apposite to Vydra who looks like he does not give a flying ****.

This sentence is driving me insane. Of course you can bloody ask for more than that.

Out of the many clichés posted day after day, this rubbish about 'giving 100%' being the most important trait really grinds my gears.

In life what ever you do as long as you give a 100% That's all you can do.FF is one of the most naturally talented players Watford have ever had he has everything he just needs a chance with a run of games he will come good.As long as I live I will never forget that rainbow kick he did it was the best football trick I have ever seen in a live match in any league in the world.I would be happy to see a team Of 11 that have the ability FF has. And be happy to pay money to see that every week.

I must say, if Ighalo and Forestieri (the former particularly) can't get a run in our current form, and after their efforts against Cardiff, they are both screwed. I'd go with form over the 'names' at the moment if I were Joka - as teams seem to have worked out how to fend off Deeney and Vydra as a partnership. Ighalo and Forestieri are utterly unpredictable.
