"I was physically in South London but my heart and mind was always in Vicarage Road. Now I have come back and brought my body back to my heart" Bloody beautiful. I want it tattooed on my face.
I still think his performance against Derby was one of the best individual performances I've seen from a Watford player in recent years. Brilliant signing.
I look forward to the massive overreaction when he doesn't start a few games. Got to hope that Flores likes him!
I believe that Flores mentioned him by name as a player he was interested in a week ago. A midfield three of Behrami, Capoue and Gueds sounds so wonderfully balanced.
As does a front 4 of Deeney, Obbi, Abdi & Ibarbo. The Pozzos need to find a loophole to get 12 on the pitch.
I liked the interview afterwards when the Sky chap asked him a question and he said " I'm knackered!" Not a surprise as he'd covered every part of the pitch at least twice!
Versatile signing as well. I think he's capable of filling in for Behrami or Capoue but, equally, he's not a bad option for one of the wide players. We all saw how hard he works defensively on the wing, but he can also finish, pass and beat players.
Very happy about this one. Loves the club , works tirelessly , gets up and down the pitch brilliantly. I know some are suggesting he may not be considered premier league quality, or he would have been picked up by another team, but those tow passes (to Ighalo vs Derby and Troy vs boro) for me were the two best passes of the whole season. I know the premier league is a different ball game , but I haven't seen anything like that from Jurado yet, so if he can recreate that he will make a massive difference creatively also.
It was a quote from when Einstein was asked about bowel problems: "When it's hard, I work it out with a pencil"
He can obviously cover for the DM positions, but I don't think that's where he will primarily be used. Much of his good work last season came from wide areas, he often played wide in the diamond, and I'd imagine he may be used out there in this system too. He's a bit if a maverick so we have to hope that Flores finds room for him at all, but if he does I can't see it being holding midfield very often. He just takes too many risks for Flores to play him there, even if they so brilliantly come off most of the time.
Looking back at his video from last season I'd forgotten how quick he is. He's a very powerful runner with the ball at his feet, just what we need.
He's obviously thrilled to be back. I hope he enjoys playing with this entirely new team he's joined as much as he enjoyed playing with last season's.
Can't wait to see the reception he gets when he warms up for the last 20 minutes of our 0-0 draw against Swansea next Saturday.
Goalscorer for Watford, number <insert number here>, Adlene Guedioura! Watford 1 - 5 Swansea. Tough afternoon for the Hornets.
I watched that one earlier myself, and I will watch it multiple times more. Still can't believe he's back, a big thanks has to go to Gino.
Does anyone really think he will play. Have a feeling this is a Pozzos signing to counter disappointment of Vydra and placate fans. Doubt he has ever been in QSF plans. qSF seems quite stubborn so although I hope he will play Gueds I have a feeling we may not see him too much in our 1st 11. Controversial I know but really do not think QSF had anything to do with it.
Yep, Gino Pozzo strikes me as the type of businessman to spend millions of pounds to please some moody fans
