Let's face it, Palace fans are *****. I won't be taking notice of anything they say, positive or negative.
I see Rotherham have signed Reece James on loan from Utd. That would've been perfect. I even said so at the start of the season
I'm not sure yet how his first name is pronounced but there's a song for The 1881 in here somewhere? "Adlene, Adlene, (mean)est midfielder that you've ever seen" Or something like that ... Cue George Hamilton 4th http://youtu.be/8AydZbnQ0_4
Not a better player than McGoo, but probably more the type of 'get stuck in player' we need. Sent from my PC using the traditional QWERTY keyboard input method.
Out of interest, why do you think he isn't a better player than McGugan? They both have an impressive highlight reel of cracking goals, but that's all McGugan has. He's achieved pretty much jack all else in his career other than a highlight video. Guedioura may not score as many goals but he's had a decent international career, well liked by Forest fans and earned himself a move to a Premier League club. I think that from the information we have available to us, he seems a far better player.

That makes a lot of sense. I've liked what I've seen from him. He looks a bit raw and a erratic at times, but his good moments are very good. He's strong, powerful and is not afraid to put himself in where it hurts.
I think he was really not match fit at the beginning when he arrived, but there was a bit of a spark about him, noticing and playing the early passes (even if they didn’t come off). If the club want to keep him, they obviously see he still has the talent he showed earlier in his career, and perhaps feel that his physicality and work rate might be more useful than Hallberg, and his creativity more useful than Andrews. I hope he gets signed up for the rest of the season.
I didn't see the point of his loan when it was announced, but hands up, he was impressive at Reading.
Certainly a good replacement for Abdi, Tozer or Munari should they suffer injuries, or be struggling in a game to come on as a sub!
Murray has been given a chance and unfortunately he is not good enough for a Premier chasing team. He has gone backwards in the last couple of years in both his form and attitude. Ideally he needs to go out on loan to a good first division team.
I think that he'd do a job in the championship but he does need a run of games and he ain't gonna get that with us for the moment.
He's homegrown and needed as back up ... Demoralising but no one is going to just hand him a place on the pitch. He absolutely needs to work hard to better his game and himself or he'll miss his chance when it comes.
I think he can be good enough for sure. A loan would definitely do him good, I'd rather he was at the very least playing somewhere in League 1 to realise his potential, for us or otherwise.
You're all over the forum recently pulling people up on things like this WT. Any particular reason why?
He's looked positive every time he's come on and has something we clearly lack in the midfield, bite. Whether to sign depends on a number of other factors though, attitude and waheyages naturally.
WT is right, Guedioura received a lot of critical comment, when he was first signed and then after his early sub appearances. He was pretty much written off by some on here. But, this is nothing unusual on this forum as there are many that expect players to come in and start running the show from the start, and who then slag them off when they don't. I have said this before, some people on here comment as if they are experts but just cannot see talent in a player beyond the headlines. But will happily praise an Abdi performance however bad he plays. I saw Guedioura run the show against us at the City Ground a couple of years ago, and again at The Vic last season. Forest fans were vey annoyed when he left them and felt they had lost one of their better players. He is not a world beater but he works hard and is good enough to be a useful member of this squad.
It will all depend on who comes in at Palace - clearly Warnock did not rate him (and that is a plus for me) but Pardew or Pulis or whoever might want a couple of weeks looking at him and the rest of the squad before deciding to play / loan or sell - can't see a deal happening for 3 weeks if at all
Because judging them after one 90 minute game isn't also judging someone prematurely. Hilarious, i'm sure McGugan scored 2 goals in a game for us once, doesn't mean you're world class.
Was skeptical, but thought I'd give him time, wasn't highly impressed by his two sub appearances but he was brilliant against Reading, really good in his short cameo against Wolves, and apparently outstanding yesterday, fair play to him, now hope we can get him for the rest of the season with a view to permanent.
