A big unit but not exactly a signing to excited about. Positive is that he has championship experience. Negative is that he is another stop-gap. Will be off to African nations so definitely not a long term.
This guy was MOM by a mile for forest against us at the vic. Must be something wrong if he can't seem to manage a full season anywhere but to have a back up player to abdi of this quality (albeit based on one game!!!) is very very good. We must be spending some serious money on wages this year! Also, I remember him being attacking central midfield so he will be playing on the heels of vydra and fessi which may make us even more narrow unless we stick with the 442. If we are going 442 wouldn't a right winger be a better option?
Shame it's only until January when it sounds like we'll look elsewhere. Would happily take him after the African Nations, I wonder if we'll try and get a deal done in January if he impresses? Also, pretty much tells you all you need to know about McGugan's future here.
Upgrade on McGugan but not too excited, another one who largely flatters to deceive Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How can anyone moan about this? We desperately need an athletic hard working box-to-box midfielder WHO HAS F*****G BALLS.
Better change that to confirmed: http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/adlene-guedioura-watford-fc-crystal-palace-2105204.aspx
Played for Nottingham Forest? Check. Likes taking long shots? Check. Just give him a dodgy haircut...
Better than McGugan, better than Murray, not having to play Anya centre mid again. It's a win win win.
This is a decent signing - however it means that one of our loan signings will have to miss out in the match day squad. 1) Bassong 2) Andrews 3) Toszer 4) Munari 5) Vydra I'm assuming that the player has been promised game time ahead of the African Nations.
Aren't the rules different for domestic loans/short term loans/long term loans I don't think it's as simple as 5 loans full stop is it?
And I might soil my underwear. Neither things will happen while we are a Championship club. Even if he describes it as 'my club'.
Lets hope we don't rely on him too much as he will be off to the African Nations for the whole of January.
I was thinking about that earlier. We signed up Ighalo to free up a loan space, so perhaps the same is about to happen again. I can't imagine Parma actually have much use for Munari and Tozser, so one of them may sign a permanent deal in January. Or even better, Vydra.
Farage has already had the continental make-up of our squad drummed into him by Holloway, as he's a Palace fan...
He looks like he has the passing range of Tozser but can actually tackle, hopefully he'll add some control to our play. Not sure how forward he gets, I know he's banged in a few stunners, could allow the sexy beast Munari to pop up with a few more goals.
