How shall I say this so as to stay within the bounds of the spirit of this fantastic thread...? I always appreciate the diligent application of good grammar. But I also think it is fantastic to get one's point across despite not being capable of good grammar. Fantastic!

I think education systems which equip people to communicate in ways which don't make them sound like idiots are fantastic.

Nice. Just finished my last final exam this morning. That's me done with school until Fall 2015 and a move to Pittsburgh. Sitting here with a lemon meringue pie and a bag of chocolate raisins to celebrate. Even let my daughter have a chunk of pineapple.

All the best! Excellent way to celebrate.

I've made a chicken hotpot and been slightly nicer to my flatmates.

Congratulations! What are your plans now?

You're leaving Texas mate? For your studies, or permanently?

Possibly. Pittsburgh would likely be for a couple of years, setting me up for a move to Washington. Assuming I go to grad school, I'll be done with Texas for the foreseeable future. I'm going to be teaching for a year, so it's possible I'll stick with that and start further studies in education closer to home.

Nice! Are you prepared for the whole 'when are you going to stop messing around abroad and get a proper job in England' malarky that will follow though?

Removing the paper from the loo at Diamond's work to inconvenience him when he needs to go for a dump.

I don't foresee any turn of events that would ever involve returning to god-forsaken England. Much like yourself I expect?

Not in the near future! Or distant if I can help it! My aim is to become ridiculously obese and move to the jungle where I can create my own fiefdom.

As a side note, just going by post-tone, the difference in happiness between the users of this forum who are in England and out of England (Portsmouth aside, naturally) is quite striking.

Hardly a barometer to measure happiness now is it? Some of us like living here. I've travelled the world and I always like coming home. The only country I've considered moving to is the US but even that place would drive me nuts after a while.

Edit: thinking about it I don't want an argument with an ex-pat over England/misery/glad I left etc as there's only one winner and it won't be me :)

England is ****. I consider it nature's cruelest joke that I was born here, when at heart, I'm as foreign as they come.

True enough. I was going to say there have been lots of debates on here recently about people's displeasure with Europe, schools, police, immigrants e.t.c but all of that seems to come from orny arry so I'm not exactly being fair!
