In judiciary successful appeals on sentencing usually mean they are reduced, not quashed. I can't see why this shouldn't also apply in football.

Didn't it apply to Spurs back in the 90s when they started the season on -12, after an appeal the total deduction was reduced to 6?

If Deeney or Abdi are on holiday in the Granada area, could they help out?

And Almeria is losing now. If results stay like this Granada would be 2 points clear from relegation. They simply MUST hold the lead.

    Granada 2-0 up! Crazy!

We still really need Almeria and Depor to lose though.

Almeria is losing but Depor scored 2-0, goal by Juanfran (yes, THAT Juanfran).

Depor 2-0 up now, given that Granada will probably not get anything at the Nou Camp, this still means that an Almeria win at home to Valencia would mean relegation.

Then add in that Eibar are drawing tonight and play bottom side Cordoba next week, you'd expect them also to end above Granada.

Not looking good. Even a great win tonight could end up with them finishing 19th.

I'd be amazed if Granada get anything at the Nou Camp, seeing as they're playing at home to Atletico next week.

Interesting, with results as they are, next week Granada-Atletico Madrid and Almeria-Valencia could be decisive for 3rd Champions League place and for relegation battle.

In the head-to-head Granada beats Depor. But in case of equal points between 2+ teams what counts is the "mini-league" between those teams.

Thus, with Depor and Granada at 34 and Eibar and Almeria at 32, I have no idea what could happen.

Great win away at a club who've beaten all the top sides at home this season. Well placed to survive now. Certainly in their own hands.

Tough last game against Atletico to come but realistically, it'd take a whole load of crazy results to send them down with Deportivo at Barcelona on the last day.

Unashamed jump up and fist pump when the news came through they'd scored against Sociedad.

I've not been that fussed about Granada these last three years but now we're in the Premier League I think it's really important they stay in La Liga. We don't need to be wasting money rebuilding one of the trio just as we've got to the top flight.

Granada should be safe. They beat us on head to head and we ain't getting fark all at the Nou camp.
Almeria won't beat Valencia and Eibar will beat Cordoba.
    Cordoba,Almeria and Depor down

    Next Weeks fixtures

    Granada v Atletico Madrid
    Eibar v Cordoba
    Barcelona v Deportivo La Coruna
    Almeria v Valencia

The good news ... if Eibar beat Cordoba. Depor need at least a point from Barca. That's so unlikely that I'd say Granada only need to match Almeria who have an equally difficult task, are in worse form and could even yet have points deducted. If Eibar don't beat Cordoba or Granada win it shouldn't even matter what Almeria do.

With Granada above Deportivo thanks to a better head-to-head record.

What a find and what an inspiration Sandoval has been. He took over four games ago and they've won the last three.

Even better than this, as he took over THREE games ago, when they seemed doomed. A miracle-maker (if all goes well).

excellent news for the trio of clubs. very happy for the granada fans and pozzo family - the financial advantages of top division football (and spanish sides are negotiating a group tv deal) benefit us all.

have to be very unlucky to go down now.

On the flipside it means less top players go to Watford as Granada will need some in La Liga.

Will Barca play a 'weaken side' given they have won the league and got the CL to come?
