Take this with a large pinch of salt as its from 'transfer rumours' but we are rumoured to be chasing this player . One of Europes hot prospects , a 16 yr old Croation who is 2nd youngest player to ever play in CL . He would have played more but his mum said he can't play evening games because its past his bed time . He also has a full international cap . http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alen_Halilovi*
Milan supposedly after him for 15 million - can't see this being anything more than a wind up, to be honest.
Certainly out of watford s league , but could see Udinese signing him (which would mean we might get him on loan ) although probably not for 15 mill
If his club really do hold out for 15 million, I can't see it. Udinese's record inbound transfer cost 9.7 million. I can't see them smashing that to land a teenager; he might look to be a world beater, but it's awfully risky because he's got a long way to go yet. If Dynamo play ball, then maybe, maybe...but they're a side who play in Europe regularly, and I doubt they're hurting for cash that much. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see this happen, but it seems completely implausible to me.
Always read the names two or three times just to make sure it isnt a wind up these days. Anyway looks like another good prospect.
The strange bit is that there are some bloody weird names that actually belong to legitimate players. For example: Bernt Haas, who played for Sunderland and WBA a few years ago. He was nicknamed "Vindaloo".
In real terms they can't compete for the huge signings so I imagine when they turn up a gem they will ask a fortune though will settle for less. On the other hand his wages will be peanuts and if he is good enough for the first team that is a massive reason to keep hold of his contract.
Halilovic aside, Im still amazed to learn that the 4/5 best team in Italy has never spent more than 10 mill on a player. Did a quick google and they ve spent more than 5 mill on a player just 3 times. Thats solid club management for you. Redknapp, look and learn I could see Redknapp blowing that on someone he s never seen actually play!
It's bloody impressive, I agree. Of course, even better is that the same people who have pulled that off are now our owners.
