Any ideas what it might be? I've managed to guess the colour and design for the last 3 seasons but haven't a clue about this year.

I wouldn't mind the black and white stripe as our away kit, would take us back to our 1920 ish home kit!

I would love to see a common 3rd kit for all three of the pozzo trinity. Just change the sponsor on the front

I would like it but I don't think that will happen. Just to keep the media off our backs if nothing else. I think it will be red or black, or both.

Puma did a piece on the history of the kits that they have made this season and the reason behind the colour schemes.

They went into detail of the history of the blue kit and the reasons they went for blue.

As a footnote to the article they went into the history of our black and white stripe kits from the early years...

From the article it seems Puma will continue to go down the clubs history route for colour and design inspiration

    Watch this space...

I was disappointed in the Puma kit this year, boring and uncomfortable!

When we first got Puma I was pretty pleased, I thought Oh we actually have a reputable brand for once. Then I noticed half the other teams had it as well, and pretty much identical kits to us. It was a bit like getting with the fittest girl in town, only to realise she's got with all your mates as well.

I think the whole pre season was rushed with the Pozzo takeover happening so late. I think it was a case of lets do the best we can and do it more thoroughly in the summer. Including the kit

I like the kit but agree it's devalued when half the football league have the same design as us. I also think that AFC Wimbledon have Football Manager as their sponsor too

I think that AFC Wimbledon have Sports Interactive as sponsers. The makers of Footbll Manager. Not Football Manager as we do

Puma isn't our kit manufacturer technically, it's Genesis Sports. That's why we (and clubs like Burnley etc) all have a generic template.

Arsenal however, have a deal directly with Puma so will probably get some sort of unique design

Wasn't the kit already sorted before the Pozzo takeover? The kit was in place as I remember with the Happy Egg sponsor before the takeover then when the Pozzos arrived they just changed the sponsor?

Yeah looks like a huge deal for them, shame they probably won't spend a penny of it though!

Almost every major kit manufacturer issues template designs to all but the biggest clubs. Such is life.

As long as the home kit has black shorts and black or yellow socks I don't care about anything else.

As long as it has a Watford badge I do not care and some players in the shirt that love our club then i do not give a toss.

I'm going out on a limb here and am going to say that it will not be yellow.

Another difference: big clubs are paid to wear the kit. Smaller clubs have to buy their own.

They do.. but i can never work out why.
I mean in these computer driven days what can it really take to design and produce individual kits? Especialy as its such big business these days.. & in my mind theyd sell more if they dident go down the template route.

We could save money by having only one kit and if there is a clash be the team in 'skins'. Deeney clearly was already thinking this by the time he celebrated his winner.

Cassetti in skins would increase our ticket sales amongst the female populace dramatically.

    Doyley, not so much.

I'd imagine it takes more than you'd think, and certainly the difference in sales - in my opinion - would be neglible. After all, i'd guess a vast majority of supporters will buy the kit almost regardless of the design as long as it ticks the boxes regarding colour.

They probably go for templates so it's easier to mass produce. 1 machine, swap the dyes.

Economies of scale n all dat.

Our previous playoff finals saw us wearing red shorts, this time it will probably be black. I'm a tad worried about the outcome of this game.

Nothing worse than us running around the pitch looking like a marketing piece for McDonald's. Bright yellow and bright red is not a good look.
