I think you will find as already stated that five bookings is usually a one game ban but this gets reset on the 1st january, so then you have to get to ten bookings for the ban. You don't lose the cards you have had but the limit from the 1st goes from 5 to 10.

I know we have just got Briggs on Loan and we have Pudil and Anya but I would still like to se how Forestieri does at left wing back, maybe on the right against Sheffield Wednesday as I thought Cassetti looked like he could do with a rest last night.

Can't really afford to experiment at this stage of the season lutonh8a and he has absolutely no experience in there. Even Pudils shows his lapses as a converted leftsided midfielder.

Besides sides would love to knock it over him on diagonals.

Personally, I'd play FF and Anya as centre backs.

That'd free up Nos and Ekstrand for the wing back roles.

    And Lloyd as the trequartista.

You are probably right I am trying to think of a way that he could get more game time.

i don`t think playing right up front is where he should play he has got very fast feet and a great touch
but he is not strong like Deeney and has not got the pace of Vydra
i would of put Geijo on last night

In some games I think Zola has been a little slow at times to give FF and Geijo time. They are suffering as a result in match fitness and sharpness but such has the form been of Matty and Troy it is understandable.

Let's hope he clicks at some point in the run in. We'll need everyone to chip in. :)

Same I don't think that he should be playing as an out and out forward especialy with his finishing, I would like to see what he can do in an advance midfield role but that would require changing the midfield three and Chalobah,Abdi and Battochio are instrumental to the way that we play.

I expect someone will have to replace Chalobah after this season, so maybe FF could be that man?

I must have watched a different game. Time after time he skinned the full back and got a cross in. He was superb and in no way looked tired.

Spot on. Wouldn't believe he's as old as he is because he gets up and down all game long. Absolute class act and his level of fitness is testament to what a class act he is.

This reminds me of "Balotelli is a style player, rarely does anything special, far too rarely in exchange for the problems he causes the team, he won't be missed."

Two days later, wins a game for AC Milan almost single handedly.

Why people feel the need to criticise Cassetti I do not know. He now ranks up along with Galli in my opinion. A class act and like Nascot said, quality again on Friday, skinning his man (who is almost young enough to be his son) time and time again.

Yes Fernando missed two good chances when he came on, particularly the first one which he was leaning back for.

In fact, he was leaning back for both, but the second was quite a tough chance if you watch it again the ball is behind him and he has to re-adjust himself at the last second to shoot, thus he's off balance and can't keep it down.

These things happen, he's not become a bad footballer overnight and as people have mentioned earlier on this thread he's looked very eager to impress which has probably been his downfall. I agree with people that feel he's not quite found his place in the team yet as i'm not convinced he's a striker in the same mould as Vydra, he's a bit of a David Silva type player, gets himself into good spaces and hurts teams when he runs with the ball. He's very clever, just not a composed finisher.

I don't think we'll see the best of him until we try a different system or play him in this system upfront pulling the strings behind Vydra.

No wing back stops every defender, every run. Neither do they beat the fullback every time, or make a great cross.

But Casetti has been amazing. Consider his age, and he's still one of our best players putting a big shift in every game. He can pass the ball, he is intelligent, I can't think of a better right back that we've had when I've seen us play.

Yes they were two bad misses, but his not the first to do that and won't be the last. The fact he hasn't been able to get a run in the team because of both the system and the form of Deeney and Vydra means his timing will be a little off and if anything he will be trying a little to hard.

To be honest I'm not sure what system would suit him best for 90 minutes. I can see him being used when we need to go 4 3 3 or 3 4 3 later in games, but at the moment not a first team choice under the current formation.

Casetti was great all game, but he did make the mistake at the end and let his man have the space to score the Wolves goal.

Unfortunately unless he can get a bit of a run of playing time, he's not going to regain what he had earlier in the season. Catch 22.

I think some "fans" need to get a dose of reality.

This time last year we were facing going into another season with Baz at the helm, no GT to be the voice of reason, no funds for new players, selling any assets (ie Murray, Marriappa) to balance the books and pay the bond-owners, a team playing hoofball in a 3 sided ground. Ultimately, we would have gone into Admin and been in a relegation fight all season, with a very limited pool for players (I give you a front line of Big Chris and Garner).

    Look where we are now!

I'm proud to have the owners, directors, management team and squad of players we have at my club. After watching the Orns for 30 years through the highs and the lows, this season is up there with the best of them. We should be enjoying it and most of all, we should be getting behind EVERY one of our players for the next 11 games. We do not want to start to transmit doubt and fear into them - that just cause mistakes to happen. Being vocal from the off and for the whole 90, will encourage more of the passing, freeflowing football it has been a privilege to see this season.

I'm astonished by people criticising our players week in, week out. Recently, I've read -
Deeney - he's not good enough and should be dropped/we should cash in on him etc - the following game he scored 2 goals at Brum
Hogg - he shouldnt be near the first team squad ever again - really? Earlier this season, he was very consistent, as he was last year. We missed him massively in the Charlton defeat. In January we were concerned that he would leave. He may not be first choice at the moment, but he is quality squad player.
Pudil - not good enough, too much of a liability with his positioning and gets booked too easily - earlier this season, he was excellent. He's had a dip in form but that has coincided with injury and illness. He's a full international. We did we last have a full international at left back?
Casetti - he'd played two games for us and people were calling for him to be sent back to Italy. Look at him now - quality at wing back or CB.
Vydra - at the start of the season, I kept reading "we need a 20 goal a season striker". Well, we got one and rather than a Kevin Phillips (who is still a quality player), he's young and is improving. Now some fans are criticising him because he has had a couple of televised games where he hasn't scored. Get real! Strikers don't score in every game but they thrive on confidence and encouragement from fans and the management team. I've even read that he's not good enough for the Prem. Funny that 5 Prem clubs think he is and are willing to take that gamble.
Forresteri - Last season, we only really had Murray as our most skillfull/creative player, this season, we have a team with skillfull players all around the pitch (Cassetti, Abdi, Chalobah, Batty, Vydra). Last year, if someone had said to me we would have players of this standard, I would have taken them to Watford General. Fessi is a very skillfull player and one that I am proud to have as OUR player. Earlier this season, he was fantastic (SWFC game for example). Let's get behind him and show him the love that he has shown us and our club. How many of the players have the yellow shirt on their wall at home? He has committed himself to our club (none of the other loan players have so far). He deserves our support, whenever he pulls on the shirt.

We have some quality players at our club, who I would love to see sign contracts with us, but would you commit yourself to a club if the fans were quick to turn you when you miss a couple of chances, of lose a bit of form?

Over 30 years as a Orn, I've learnt this - one thing is for certain - we are Watford and we never do things the easy way. But if we get behind the team, we know that the Tale of the Unexpected can happen.

    COYH!

Wait, let me get this right.

TVOR now wants Forestieri to play in a holding midfield role, not just at wing back?

Deeney's quite big, quite powerful, let's put him in goal.

Feck me, when the team came out after half term, I actually thought Zola had put him on a right wing back! brilliant performance from him this evening, best I have seen him play.
