Currently leading 1-0, nearly half time.

    Ranegi with the goal.

Excellent win for them. Started to think since buying us we had jinxed the Pozzo sporting empire !!

A good game and a badly needed first win!
With many positive points, play that at last seems to flow better, and most of all ... too early to say but Ranegie impressed me.
Many of the "unsatisfied" fans were very angry and dubious regarding this "mysterious" 28-old striker, come from Sweden at the very last minute of transfer market.
But in these 2 games against Anzhi and Milan he impressed me. Good technique with foot and particularly with head. Good sense of position and able on passing. Most of all, he seems to complement well and have a good understanding on field with Di Natale (who at last seems unblocked and scored 3 on last 3 games).
Oh ... and in his first 2 games in the starting-11 he scored 2 goals and procured a penalty.
Cannot say a good day from the morning, but it might seem Pozzo's scouts have found another very good player, this time not in the category "very young" but in the category "experienced with underestimated talent" (as it was for Benatia).

BTW: finding a good one in the category "experienced with underestimated talent", for scouts, is probably much better than finding one in "very young" category, because they are mature, hungry and highly motivated. While the very young, if he has not a square head, might result to be one thinking "Oh dear, I'm the new Messi/CR7 and I'm still playing for Udinese, how boring!"

Hopefully they can pick up some form and confidence before the 4th October (Away to Liverpool...)

I really hope so. But last 2 games gave me some confidence on that.

Oh ... I must tell about an episode in today's match very typical of Guidolin (our manager): corner kick for Udinese, but in an action in which one of Milan's players was laying down for a hard contact. Guidolin ordered to the players to throw away the corner kick giving ball to Milan!
That's why I love that man!!!
(and Zola is made of same mould: simply gentlemen!)

De Sciglio loses the ball in a promising position for Milan with Pazzini imploring him to pass, and Cagliari look to counter. Dessena switches the ball from left to right to Perico, but his attempted cross is wayward and goes out for a Milan goal-kick
