Is it just me or have today green links started appearing on the main forum page and in threads and things? Is it adware or is it part of this new thing?
Yeh I do but it happens in firefox too. Can you tell me how to fix it? It's still there with both adblocks on. Usually I leave adblock off for this site to click every now and again but i just wanted to see if it affected it and it didn't.
Yeh its definately in both browsers. It's also on another site that uses V bulliten software but its not on any other web pages ive noticed. Do you want a screenshot to see what I mean?
I know what you mean, I saw it yesterday. I turned Skimlinks off yesterday when I found it and it didn't stop it, so it's not that. Only other thing I can think of is it's a feature of vB's latest upgrade.
Oh it's gone now.I logged off and it disappeared then installed an anti-script add on and logged in and its fine, in both firefox and chrome.
Ok thanks for your help. Now the anti-script thing is there I can't click on the symbols to turn them from unread to read but it's not a big issue.
The no-script thing is unusable because it stops facebook chat working so it's all there still. Also something probably unrelated I can't see the connect facebook logo at the top on chrome but its there on other browsers.
Twitter In your profile, (here) there is a custom field now for you to enter your twitter username (without the @), this'll then appear underneath your avatar (the profile pic by your posts) for people to click to follow you.
I don't think it is a vbulliten thing, it just happened on another website. Looks like this. It must be adware? How do I get rid?
Do a search on your installed programs fro something called Babylon. That's a pain in the backside that software.
Instead of making a thread everytime, I'll keep you all updated with what I'm doing in here, and keep a list in the first post.
When the forum software was upgraded it went as there wasn't a suitable upgrade to the plugin either, but now there is and it's of a good enough standard to bring back in. Unfortunate the orns you used to have are lost forever.
Something I've been experimenting with this morning is to have an Image Uploader widget courtesy of Tinypic within the 'post reply' template.
