Seen rumours that Udinese might give Cuadrado to Juve, in return for Zaza (Juve seem to have a co-ownership deal with Sassuolo for him) or Domenico Berardi, who also plays for Sassuolo, on loan from Juve. But, it appears Cuadrado transferred from Udinese to Fiorentina in 2013. Unless they also have some sort of co-ownership deal and the offer is 50% of Cuadrado for 100% of Zaza or Berardi? I would prefer Berardi, but I think he's good enough for Udinese, and could be used as a replacement for Di Natale. He's 19 and considered a bit of a wonderkid. 13 goals in 26 league apps for Sassuolo this season, including all 4 goals in a 4-3 win against AC Milan. Zaza is 22 and has 7 goals in 29 league apps for Sassuolo. Juve paid €1m for 50% of him in the summer. Both are 6ft 1in. I might have got some details wrong in there, it would be great if Sherlock could lend his expertise...
I don't like to let anyone down... Berardi: Zaza: Both wear the same ****ing ones. Starting to think they may be the same person, with a different haircut.
At the moment quadrado is at fiorentina and half owned by Udinese and Fiorentina, Udinese want to sell the other half, Fiorentina want to pay money and possibly give babacar. Or as youve put th above situation. Isnt peryeya linked with Juve maybe he could be the makeweight.
Well, first of all I'll explain again how "shared ownership" works n Italy. - Two clubs may have each 50% of contract ownership of a player. Only one team has the right to use the player on the field. - Any loan of the player to other teams must be agreed by the sharing owner. - Nothing (other than unwritten rules giving "first option" to the co-owner) bars a team from selling its 50% to another team. - This is a temporary arrangement for 1 season. At the end of the season the two teams may 1) agree to renew "shared ownership", possibly deciding to switch the team where the lad will play 2) solve it with one team buying the remaining 50% 3) if no agreement is found between the two team, blind offers (sealed envelope) from each team are made for the buying of the remaining 50%. This shared ownership is frequently used in Italy as it allows for example to send around players not useful in team or not yet developed, knowing that the other team also has interest in having the player's value rise. (not like, say, the loan of Vydra to WBA where he seems to play only if all WBA's owned players are unavailable). Udinese has currently several co-ownerships. The main ones being: Cuadrado (playing at Fiorentina) Candreva (playing at Lazio) Isla (playing at Juventus) Lopez (playing at Udinese, 50% of Roma) Cuadrado is a difficult deal. Our sporting director says first we'll talk with Fiorentina. But we don't want, say, to sell them our 50% for 10M and see them selling the 100% to Bayern the following day for 30M. So either they agree on some clause if they re-sell the player ... or we might accept to listen to Juventus which is not on good relations with Fiorentina but is on good relations with us. If they are interested they might buy our 50% and then deal with Fiorentina for the remaining half. Or they could "suggest" us that if we go to the blind offers, we may put a high offer in the sealed envelope (much higher than what we usually would do) because they'll back us by buying 100% of the player immediately after. So, all in all a good situation: many teams interested in our 50% and we may obtain either lots of money of also some interesting players, either from Fiorentina or from Juventus.
Hopefully Nico Lopez if we renew the co-ownership or buy 100%. All the others are already playing in teams where the average wage is probably 3 times or more than at Udinese, so no way they are returning. Isla really should be a solved issue. Juventus bought him "in two halves" to not have expense all in one time, but we sold 50% for 8M€ with a "gentlemen's agreement" that they're going to buy the remaining 50% for another 8M€. Candreva might be more difficult to solve. Lazio made a very good deal, having him on loan with option to buy 50% (already done) for 1.7M€. Same kind of contract as when Candreva went in the past to Juventus, Parma and Cesena, but he didn't impress in those teams. At Lazio he has played well, has become "starting 11" and full international for Italy and his transfer value estimated on Transfermarkt is now 16.5M€. So, no way Lazio is going to have the remaining 50% for a just few bucks or some fringe useless players, after they already had a very good deal with the first half.
Sherlock, what do you think about Zaza and Berardi? Have you seen many rumours linking them to Udinese? Would Zaza/Berardi be sent here? Or used in Udinese's first team?
Zaza has scored against Juve tonight. Paolo bandini is saying on twitter how good his performance is, saying he's auditioning for Juve to sign him for next season.... Doubt he's coming to vicarage road.
Erm what are you talking about m8?? Zaza does not play in series A and man utd did not play tonight lol!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27259853 Lloyd Dyer. The wrong side of 30 but would be a good signing for us in a change of formation
So I've just had to deal with absolute gut-punch that is the news that Lloyd Dyer has turned down a new one year deal, leaving him free to leave this summer. I'd love to see him sign for you lot, Anya and Dyer on either side. WOOF!
He was offered a one year deal and wants a longer contract. Sensible decision by the club but sadly it hasn't worked out.
Antony Acheampong Watford & Charlton are battling to sign Ebbsfleet defender Anthony Acheampong according to online rumours. Apparently he is 24, 6 ft 4 and has recently left Barnet as he was looking for first team football?! Doesn't sound like the star defender we were after, but can't be much worse than Belkalem. Here's a video of him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-ZVPQu2iJs
Jay Demerit was 24 and at Northwood and been turned down by a lot of teams and look how that turned out. 6ft4 he is going to be a presence in any back 4, seems happy to have the ball, commanding and doesnt dive in to stupid challenges but that video is all ive seen so I cannot make a fair judgement on him. He might be utter poop but he's worth a shot, Belkalem wont be back in my opinion and he may well be another Brown who doesnt play at all but he could be another Jay demerit... We'd have to go for a more established, experienced player too though, he couldn't be our only defensive signing as its too much of a risk.
Don't worry, he goes simply by 'Top'. "In Thailand, the full name is difficult and the last name is, well, forget it! Every Thai has a long surname so everyone has a nickname. Top is a nickname."
Not really his best bits is it, shows a lot of running, walking, and standing about, him kicking a bloke from behind and letting his man get his cross in.
Got a funny name. 'Antony' it's one of those old blokes names like Dave innit? Sorry, not a Xavier or a Bruno so it's a 'no' from me.
He's a model too, would be great for our kit pictures. He could be the new Faraoni, http://www.amckmodels.com/models/antony-acheampong/221
Jay Demerit never played a competitive game for Northwood, his agent got him to play for them in pre season friendlies because they would be playing against Watford and Chelsea
