So we obviously need some wingers..

I reckon Lee Holmes could be worth a go, loaned to Swindon for the second half of this season and rips L2 a new one, scored against us for So'ton I believe at their place too.

Can see them letting him go for cheap now they've gone up.

    Kacaniklic back on loan?

I don't know anything about him, but yeah he sounds like a good target. He's 25 as well, a good age so if he came here we could expect to play him straight away, and he'd have plenty of years left in him. Whatever happens, we are crying out for some creativity and pace. Would love Kaca back here.
Holmes does sound like the sort of player we should be looking at though. We should be scouting the non-league for prospects to make the jump (with a view to loaning out if they can't make the transition immediately) and leagues 1 & 2 for players who we believe can step up and become 1st teamers next season, and not just squad players to fill in the holes.

Didn't Lee Holmes start out as a bit of a boy wonder at Derby along with Huddlestone and then never really got anywhere? Heard he has been good this year but the problem being, has it been exagerated by the fact that Swindon are far superior to anyone else in that league?

In my opinion, Murray will have to play central midfield if we want the best from him, probably alongside Hogg. It means we need right and left I feel.

Fair point, but whether or not we play Murray on the right, I think we need to sign a permanent or loanee at least to play on the right. We cannot expect Murray to carry the team next season; he's only 18 and I think a lot of the teams will have done their homework on us and will have cottoned onto the fact that he is by far our most creative player, so they will look to probably mark him out of games. He will undoubtedly need to be rested too at some point, and we need to have someone who can step in and make himself useful from the word go.

He's out of contract at the end of the season.

EDIT: On a serious note... Kaca would be good and it's possibe. It's a shame Bristol City went down because Adomah would surely be looking for a new club if that had happened. Also I disagree about Murray having to be moved to the centre, he's done well on the wing and we have a million CMs. Perhaps used as the player in front of the holding central midfielders in a 4-2-3-1 formation, but ther than that I can't see us getting to the stage next season where we're thinking of putting Murray in the middle, unless we see a fair few injuries.

Lee Holmes is very injury prone, not to mention inconsistent and not terribly good at this level. He ripped it up in League Two, that's his level.

Coppinger from Doncaster? Ipsh*t had a £2,000,000 bid turned down last summer. Now they've been relegated I could see them accepting around 750k.

Do we really want to spend £750K on a 31 year old?

Been mentioned before but what about Puncheon? I can't see Southampton using him much in the Premier League seeing as they haven't even used him much in this league, but he's a good winger at this level. Can't imagine he'd be too expensive.

Jamal Campbell Ryce always did well against us, tho that may say more about our defence. He is at Orient which seems a waste - sorry Paddy - anyone else have views good or bad?

Murray should be orated from LM, RM CAM and maybe CM, to keep team guessing. As Cheeky said, the key is to not get found out, need versatile, tricky wingers, 2 of them. A left-footed FB who can play CB and is agile would be perfect if Mapps goes and a poacher ST. Sorted then.

That's where you'd be wrong. Neither QPR nor Blackpool (when PL), would pay his wages...

Saw him at Hartlepool - Orient on Saturday. Played well & scored a well-taken goal but hit the deck a few too many times...

If QPR survive in the Premier then Tommy Smith must be the best bet. He was happy at Watford, we know his ability and effort and he has never let us down. His age is against him but I think he probably has another 2 years in him at Championship level.

Not a bad shout at all, does have a chequered history but on his day very useful at this level.
