So it's near that time of year again, exams.

    Who's got some coming up?

I have 6 for AS levels. Two for History, two for Geography and one each for Psychology and PE. Not looking forward to them, it's suddenly hit me that they are coming up and I'm actually studying 4 hours a day! I know hardly anything for Psychology which is worrying.

The one thing I don't miss about being in education. Good thing with AS levels is you can always retake them, think i re-took all but 2 of mine. Learn a few dates and you can blag History.

you do gcses in yr 10+11, AS in yr 12, and A2 in yr 13.

AS and A2 count 50% each of the total A level.

GCSEs barely count as exams. Looking back at my A Levels, I realise that if I had just put the tiniest amount of effort in I could have gone to a better uni.

I got a B in Maths GCSE with little over 30% if memory serves me correctly.

A levels are all about jumping through hoops, a little bit of knowledge and technique.

I did food tech gcse last year, so your mock test might have been the same one i did for my real gcse?

Its ridiculously easy, its 60% coursework, or at least our one was. Yet i still managed to get a B:doh:

GCSEs were the biggest piece of p!ss ever.

I didn't put that much effort in, only revised the night before an exam and got 1 A, 6b's and 5 c's. Looking back, If I actually put effort in I could've got a few more A's.

For those doing their GCSE's now, don't mess around in AS, start revising at the beginning of the year because if you don't it will come back to haunt you. AS is a HUGE leap up from GCSE's. In my opinion anyway.
