Not us I'm afraid. We're marginally worse than the Dutch and the Irish. Usual come third in the Euros (which of course don't have england participating).
Getting nervous now. Australia 353 for 6, need 169 runs with 4 wickets in hand. Best live scorecard I've found is... http://www.cricinfo.com/engvaus2009/engine/current/match/345971.html Can we really blow this?
We need to get Broad out of there. He's not taking a wicket any time soon. Who else wants a go? We need a big bowling performance from someone and we need a wicket quickly.
Got to be. Come on. Australia have made a fist of it, but let's make sure it's nothing more than a valiant defeat for them. Let's get the next 3 wickets nice and quickly.
It's ridiculously tense. If this weren't England and they weren't Australia, we would have considered anything other than a home victory a mathematical impossibility since Friday evening. Still, there's always that nagging doubt with England.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/england/8162048.stm KP has been ruled out for the rest of the Ashes, bad news.
Maybe somebody on the fringe of the squad like Key or Shah? Probably be Bell though with a bit of batting order change. I doubt they'll go for somebody new and lacking experience now. However if KP problems cotinue I can see one of the young lads being given a chance after the Ashes.
I'm watchin gon the skyplayer in the library at uni, looked like a right *** when i went up for those 2 wickets when everyone else is silent... also, has anyone noticed how aussie Clark sounds when he says waiting? sounds like 'waitoing', almost sounds not even australian...
Last night I was at nets and talking to the other players in my team and we were all saying how we did not understand why Onions was playing and that Harmy should be in. Shows what we know.
to be honest I've been saying that. They we're also talking about it on the radio so I'm wondering if a bit of media pressure has made Onions buck his game up a bit.
Will be interesting to see how much the tail can wag for the aussies and also what they can do with the pitch in the current state.
