Going to Cardiff would severely dent our attendance numbers.

Sure we could muster 20,000 for a cardiff semi. We would only get that in our allocation from Villa park . Our only hope would be for the emirates , but that would mean us being drawn against a london club and i would prefer to meet them in the Final at Wembly

middlesbrough (following a miracle in the replay) but would probably be played at old trafford.

wouldn't mind another trip to cardiff. i parked 10 mins from the stadium last year.

they did a quick discussion about it on talksport the other day but even the people on talksport could agree on something for a change and realised it was a rather silly idea!

They'll play Man Utd v Chelsea at the Millenium Stadium whilst at the same time we'll face Blackburn at Ninian Park, that should ensure transport difficulties for just about everybody involved, not to mention a mad scramble for tickets.

I wouldn't put it past the F.A though! And of course they'll make sure the games kick-off at 12.00pm and 6.00pm so that the games can be on prime-time TV! :]]

The emeriates would be good as it holds 60,000 but they are not gonna send 35,000 supporters from manchester to Arsenal and we could basicially walk there :]]

As long as its a 3pm KO then Im ok with Villa park.

why would the manc get 35,000 when that is more than 50% of the allocation. Also you'll probably find that there are more manc supporters holding season tickets that live in london than madchester.

Ticket allocations to each set normally goes on average attendances. They get 70,000 plus,we get less that 20,000 and last time we went to villa park we sent tickets back, and we didnt sell out at the millinium either, and that was plain to see at both top corners baring many empty seats.

cheers , didnt realise that was how they did it , thought they gave 50/50 to start with and then any left over would be offered to the other team (allowing for segregation and all that)

    thanks for the info

No you're right, that's exactly how they do it. And we would take 30,000 to the Emirates, just like we took 37,000 to Wembley in 1999.

I they chose the emirates over villa park they could justify it by saying that this allows them to give man utd fans 10000 extra tickets. Villa Park holds 43000 i would expect 18000ish to us and 25000 to man utd.at emirates it could be 25000 and 35000.
if its boro then villa park
if they were going to use villa park for either they would have announced it now.

The reason nothing has been announced is they don't know the fixtures.

If Manure get through the obvious choice is VP for both semi finals.
If however Boro win tonight we will play them at Old Trafford whilst the Blackburn match will be a VP.

If Manure do get through they then have a problem to solve, no point them trying to solve an issue now that by 10.30 tonight may not exist anyway.

In an email from the FA I've just been told that the European competitions are their major concern re:scheduling and that "it's very difficult to schedule fixtures at this time of year". There is no planned date to announce it yet.
