Keeper wants Hornets deal 24-11-2006 12:26 Watford goalkeeper Richard Lee says he is keen to sign a new contract at Vicarage Road. The 24-year-old, who has recently been in the Hornets starting line-up due to an injury to first choice Ben Foster, has over 12 months left to go on his current deal. But Lee revealed: "I've got a season left and would be delighted to increase it. It would be great to stay longer."
It's usual to start making noises when you're coming up to 12 months left and to be fair if Aidy wants him he should be getting his signature now befor someone else trys to snap him up on the promise of a free in 2007. I say go for it if he wage requirments are reasonable. Good back up and may make first choice if we cant get another. Not sure loach is ready yet.
as he states.... now he knows he has shown he is capable of a first team start whereas before he was always third choice now he is second so more likely to ge a start than previously.
Richard lee Hater... If hes not good enough for us, why did he only conscide 2 Vs Man u and 1 vs Pompey which was a Penalty
what does conscide mean in English????? instead of spending time on here grab a good book to read like the Oxford Dictionary.
richard lee is a decent keeper. he has given a few good performances eg. man utd. but he was poor versus pompey. i'd say give him another year or 2 but try to keep his wages the way they are now instead of increasin 'em
Whatever, you keep believing that, one day it may come true, probably when he finds his true level in non league football.
Lets have an amnesty on typos and spelling mistakes .... so long as U R understood thats all that matters. As for Lee, keep him. He has made progress and is an agile stopper whose main problems are not commanding his area (his kicking has improved). Personally I would have liked to see Lenny P signed when he was released by Chelsea - a bit cocky but quite talented.
And Ben at Portsmouth flapped on the ground with Bill and little weed whilst pompey equalised at the near post. Get a life you Ben lovers - He really isn't as good as you all make out - He may one day fulfil his potential, but personally I doubt it. Take your blinkers off, your not horses running in the Derby
Loachy - LOL Jobby - you really know your football Seriously though:I would really like to see RL have a run of 5 or 6 games for two reasons: 1) -Wasn't RL in goal when we had the very very good start under Ray Lewy when he kept approx 5 clean sheets in goal and when me mullered Plymouth and QPR at home playing some lovely jubbly footie up until Webber got injured at Gillingham. Richy is now at an age where he is no longer a young player with potential, he is 24 and for himself as a player and us as a club we should see how good he is at the top level. If he gets that run of 4-5 games I bet you jobby 1 beer he reatains his place when Ben is fit ( unless of course the loan deal insists that fergie picks him in our team. Deal or no deal. RL must have at least 4 games and Ben must be fit to be picked. 2) - It would be a great shame if Richy isn't given the chance of a run in the team and he then gets moved on for no fee or very little fee and becomes a top notch keeper elsewhere.
My Dad's Auntie is Scott Loach's Land Lord, He just moved out and he gave her his Training kit, and because she didnt want it she gave it to me ;D
You knowI will always have a bet with you over a pint. So if Ben is 100% fit i say he will return straight away. I am not aware of any clause that states he must play.
But Jobby You get very forgetful about all of Bens mess ups, last season he was a joke at the begining of the season. But hey, thats history and part of the individuals learning process. So Ben has learned and Rich has learned. If every footballer was to be written off for having one bad game, there wouldn't be many teams around and then who would you support?
How the hell does it fit you, he is twice your size? Unless since preseason your Mum has been stretching you and feeding you solely on junk food! was it washed first?
