Zola press conference

Drew , if you dont know , then i`m struggling to think of many candidates on here that do!

 

By what I read on the official site, which says during the week commincing Monday 9th July it may not be today but any day this week!

 

It looks likely to be Tuesday afternoon.

 

Plenty of press outside the training ground this morning as I drove into work

 

They are probably there to help clear all the rubbish!!

 

Considering training started today.. they would ( i pressume ) want to get the press confernce done and dusted as quickly as possible... leaving it till Friday would not make sense.

Monday/tuesday (most likely Tuesday), so Zola can spend the day with the players first.

 

Was anybody tempted to apply for accreditation? I was tempted on behalf of Malta Football Weekly

 

They were due back today but this has now been changed to tomorrow.

 

The players are back in tomorrow so it could be today after he's met the staff.

 

The Wobbly say it's unlikely to be today..but I agree, it would be more logical.

Surely better to face the press once you have/are able to feign a bit of knowledge about the current squad?

 

Zola was meeting staff today and the players tomorrow. I don't think it makes sense for him to give a press conference before having met with the players.

 

As the takeover was first mooted back in February, it's unlikely to think that Zola or Nani will have no knowledge of our current squad anyway.

A new manager of any club usually gives his presser on the first day, then gets on with the actual job.

 

Completely agree. They will know many things about our squad - no doubt. I still don't think he'll give a press conference until he's met with the players in person.

I was given a new boss once but wasn't officially told. Just had this new bloke in the office asking me stuff. That was a bit weird.

 

I once told my 'new' boss to ****ing do one in the que for lunch in the canteen because he pushed in, only to be introduced to him when I returned to work.

 

"Imminently". I'm hearing rumours it could be any day this week - Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday, but categorically not Thursday.

To be fair to him he apologised as soon as he realised who I was. We got on fine until one day he had heard that I went for his job.

 

SSN just showed Zola turning up at the training ground in the back of a taxi with two other Italian looking gentlemen. Could have at least sent him a car to be picked up in!

I don't see the problem with him turning up in a taxi. Mancini turns up to work on a bike!!.

No great surprise, but the backroom staff will also be leaving, although Chamberlain is expected to stay!!

The most important decision for me would be to ensure the retention of Watford Dave as a 50-50 seller. It certainly wouldn't be the same with an Italian belting out the crying call down Occupation Road.

 

And of course we need to keep wolfie "pwogwammes".
