Zola or Mourinho

Talking with a mate last night and we were saying that right now if Jose Mourinho stated some desire to manage Watford would you straight away sack Zola and hire Mourinho or would you stick with GZ? I said I'd stick with Zola because he's doing a fine job, knows the players etc, but he said you don't turn down the best manager in the world under any circumstances. Thought I'd see what people think, so right now would you have Zola or Mourinho?

 

Neither are lads like Dyche.

 

Zola's footballing ideas have really grown on me.

Mourinho, as much as he's a **** by definition, is one of the world's best managers currently. That said Zola is such a nice guy and things are clearly working for him. Besides why change something that's working?

 

...and the point of all this is?

 

Should av never sacked Zola

 

Should have completed education.

 

Wouldn't mind seeing Mourinho at Watford... but would feel it to be too harsh to get rid of Zola.

When is Jose set to join? Very excited about this appointment.

Really? If it were a realistic proposition, ie a possibility, then it might be worth taliking about. But it isn't, so it's not.

Mourinho is a great manager, without a doubt, but I don't really care for how his teams tend to play.

I like what I've seen of Zola's style, and the players are performing for him. I'm not sure what more we could ask for.

Mourinho because he would ensure success, he's a born winner. Really liked the Inter side he built within 2 years which became European champions.

Whilst on the topic I agree he is the best tactician in the game but overall he isn't the best manager in the game and won't be until Fergie retires.

 

I only put Mourinho because I consider him to be the best but what it really means is "Zola v "The best manager in the world""

What is it then? At no point did I say that I thought or dreamt that Jose Mourinho might take over at Watford, it was a hypothetical question to see whether people would rather stick with what's going well or just aim for the very best
