No, it's still too early. What he did with the team last year should tell everyone that he can motivate the team and get them playing the right way. Something is seriously wrong behind the scenes and it's THAT which needs sorting out, and I don't think that will happen by sacking Zola, more like moving on certain players. Moog, I disagree with you.
I think the fact we didn't look like we could score if we played all night against a team who haven't kept a clean sheet all season suggests he can't motivate the team anymore.

I'm still firmly wanting Zola to stay, for the single reason, I can't think of a manager who'll come in and make things better. I think there's 5h1t loads going on behind the scenes. Any manager who comes in has a massive job on his hands to turn this around.
So we didn't score then did we? We haven't scored at home since the 28th of September. I want Zola to succeed as much as anyone but it's obvious something has to change.
Why do people keep spouting these stupid cliches? Anya had a goal wrongly disallowed Fessi missed a sitter Cassetti headed an open goal over the bar Their keeper made an exceptional double save from Murray and Anya
But did we score? You can say all these excuses, but the fact is we haven't scored at home since the 28th of September. Something is clearly wrong.
Had you said, 'we didn't score' instead of 'we didn't look like scoring', when we did, then it would have not been a cliche but just a factually accurate comment.
I want him to stay and turn things around, but this is definitely the time to go if he goes. The big question no one answers is who would you want to replace him. Surely it would have to be someone with a very sound understanding of the English game, even more so the Championship.
It's definitely time for a change. Whether he walks or the Pozzos pull the trigger, this has gone on for way too long. Whatever way you want to dress it up, we are in relegation form. This is no minor blip, it is a major, major slump. 5 home defeats on the bounce and 9 without a win is not good enough at any level of the game. It's getting embarrassing now and I think Zola has to fall on his sword. We're totally devoid of ideas, for whatever reason it's just not working this season, his subs are confusing and ill-timed, and that's being polite. Thank you for last season, but time to go GZ.
This discussion is pointless, after his comments - there is not a chance in hell of Zola still being manager when we play Ipswich next week.
I'm yet to see a feasible or reasonable suggestion for a new manager, who would have to deal with a supporter base that moans and *****es yet stays quiet on the day of home games, who would not be in charge of player recruitment, would supposedly have to get the club to the Premier League THIS season and would be affordable. I'm sure the Pozzo's will also see this and calm Gianfranco down. I'm pretty sure wanted to see the dark side of Zola, it seems we did today.
That he in unsure if he is the right man to turn it around - and that he has some considerations to make overnight. I'm sorry but how are the players supposed to have any ****ing confidence in him after that?
Its a shame because his a very nice bloke, much like Lewington. BUT This industry is about results not being nice or haveing a good reputation. The Pozzo's will bring in someone they know, the fact that they supplied most of the coaching saff last year, suggests that they have enough resource to fill any hole or need
It is but this is the man who gelled an entire squad whilst single handedly altering the way wfc have played football for the last 30 years. Unbelievably, in one season he got the team playing the most exciting football I have seen since early 80s. Surely he deserves a modicum of time when things go a bit pear shaped which, as I've said before, has more to do with this years injuries and inferior squad
Of course they will, not because of their love for Zola, but for not wanting a strict task master to replace him.
Im not sure what type of manager needs to come in to sort this... I would like a manager that plays a similar passing tactic (obviously more effectively) but I don't want a di-canio style manager coming in - although it might work in the short term, long term, that erratic style will not be more effective than what we have now. I do feel that the Pozzos will bring in a european coach and I think they will be Italian, maybe someone from serie B or something - I certainly think it will be someone we dont know!
I hope our owners are a little more objective than most of our fans - those who want him gone and those who want him to stay are both capable of making strong arguments to support their view. Me? I'd like to see him given time to try and build something here. He's shown us enough to say that there is potential there. Equally though, by his own comments tonight, it doesn't seem as though he really believes he can turn this around. His performance last season bought him plenty of time and grace from me. We'll never get anywhere chopping and changing our manager every time we go on a bad run of form - we're not entitled to walk this league, nor do we have a divine right to stay in the Premier League when we eventually reach it. If Zola believes he can fix this, then I want him to stay.
I really don't want a random Italian. I also don't think they would choose one. Just because we're owned by Udinese doesn't mean we have to play up to the 'Little Italy' stereotype. Granada have always had Spanish managers since their takeover. Zola wasn't brought in because he's Italian, he was brought in because of his reputation in the English game. Any new manager would have a reputation and experience in England. I'm absolutely sure of it.
I certainly don't want a random Italian, but who would we get in that plays short, fluid football... it will be a Spanish or dutch coach or random Italian!
