4-0 win at Leyton Orient. http://www.watfordfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~1482368,00.html I hope we don't go and let a load of Chelsea/Arsenal or whatever Youth players as short term loans if its going to stop our own youngsters breaking through as some deserve a chance...maybe next season when we've sold off a few of the overpaid 1st teamers (or decent ones..) Ok they won't all make the grade but people like Sordell and Gibson look pretty useful and ofcourse there is the ones just between Youth team and 1st team squad in Young/Parkes. Loach and Jenkins have made a positive impact on the 1st team this season...
I wish people would stop carping on about the farking youth, they are not the answer at the moment and if getting a bit of quality from Chelsea etc on loan means more success in the short term then we shouldn't think twice. It's all well and good having youngsters breaking through but not if we just end up getting thumped every week. Incidentally Parkes isn't any good and never will be, it's time people realised that.
Get in the loans if their available and ship some of ours out on loan (preferrably to someone better than wealdstone) for experience, as we did for your example Scott Loach.
True in the short term it will be good for us if we get the right onesd in but don't want a whole team full of them and anyway I was talking more about next season...not in January because as I said some won't be ready. From what I've seen of Bridcutt thought he has the quality to be good but is a bit prone to try something tricky when in this league it just needs a simple pass or two. Ofcourse I'd be delighted if we got some useful defenders in!
With that surname he probably has Scottish ancestry. Get on to the phone to Burley. Yes we have some of the best prospects here in a long while and the luxury of two top class junior keepers. The loans must be used judiciously by Rodgers. And for those going out on loan rather than Wealdstone ,better they learn at the level of Division 4. Those good enough to make it should not have their chances restricted for the likes of a Bridcutt who merely see us as a stepping stone (for him its a case on current form of Division 3/4) Given time in a couple of years assuming we have stabilised there is a bright future ahead.
Can you read ? :dismay: I said he probably has Scottish ancestry ,considering Gibson is generally a Scottish surname meaning son of Gib or Gilbert. Not that he is Scottish as of now. Though considering the paucity of playing resources if he keeps developing like he is the Scottish FA will be seeing if he has Scottish grandparents.
