Lost 1-0 to Birmingham in the quarter finals of the FA Youth Cup to a goal being conceded in the 86th minute. Sordell apparently played well. Marvin does look a good raw prospect to me. He's fast, strong, decent finisher, reasonably good at winning headers, holds up the ball well, works very hard, and is very brave. Needs to work on his technique though as he needs to work on the timing of his runs and that sort of thing.
Not a bad effort, would have played the scousers in the semi final I believe. Sordell does look a decent prospect, saw him a couple of times at the end of last season and know he went of loan to Wealdstone earlier this season (all be it didn't score that many) to get the usual Watford prospect chance there. Reckon he is a bit similar to Theo Robinson in statue and could turn out to be a decent little player, if he gets another chance to go on loan somewhere next season.
If there is no chance of us going down with a couple of games to go, I say give him a game or two, just to give him a taste of the championship.
Dyche didn't seem too pleased with the performance but still a good run and if we are safe towards the end of this season maybe some will get a run out.
