Steve Mclaren has done OK so far but on current performances what would be your starting 11. ---------------Robinson--------------- Neville----Terry----Ferdinand----Young Gerrard----Hargreaves----Lampard----J Cole ----------Crouch----Rooney---------
i wud have to agree - but maybe Ash Cole just 4 the experience, although Young is coming along nicely
I worry about Cole going forward too much, if we run a 451 with Hargreves playing just ahead of the defence and Gerrard or Lampard playing behind Rooney I think he would be OK.
-----------------Foster------------------ Neville--Terry--Ferdinand--A.Cole Lennon--Gerrard-Lampard--J.Cole ----------Crouch---Rooney------------ I really think Aaron Lennon is the new Beckham, if you look how he set the pitch alight when he was brought on in Germany. And Ben Foster is a serious contender for the England number 1 shirt, this isnt Biase but I really think a reality! I for one like Ashley cole, always works hard and for the most part reliable.
Agreed but I think that it's a touch risky as it's all out attack. Hargreaves is playing well at the mo (never thought I'd say that). I think I'd switch to your formation & team at half time if we weren't leading.
I think that if he were to return to English football and find the form that got him his name then maybe he would get a chance, but spanish football has destroyed his game and as it stands he doesnt deserve a place, he was a great player for us but all he is good for now is the occassional run down the right and a nice cross in, Aaron lennon i think can do that and more, he's fast and not afraid to run at defenders, something Becks has forgotten how to do... the only otehr good thing Beckham has going for him is the fact his wife is ugly and his kids have stupid names so gives us something to laugh at!
i personally never liked him - always thought he was better than everyone else and he so obviously isnt. Gerrard and Lennon are easily better than him and maybe Shaun Wright-Phillips can break into the team if he leaves Chelsea and goes to a club where he will get first-team football.
Wright Phillips has a lot of potential but as you say needs first team football.... i know i go on about lennon but i think he is a fantastic player and deserves a regular start.
Agree about Lennon but think he should play a few 90mins games in a friendlies before risking him in a qualifier or cup match
