anyone else think punk was brought back too soon, i would have at least waited for summerslam.

I dont think he came back too soon. Summerslam is massive and John Cena needs to be in a big match and Punk at the moment is the only person who is on Cena's level at this moment.

Excellent. Is it televised Raw / Smackdown or just a house show? I saw a house show a few years back at the NIA. A little dissapointing as there was no entrance music or commentators but it was hosted by the Undertaker and there was a bikini match:sign15:
Can remember Big Show, Chavo Guerrero & Kurt Angle.

Its a RAW house show as the tapings are in Liverpool this year.
The last two shows I have been to have been televised and theres not much actual wrestling just a load of segments which was dissapointing. I suppose the tapings are always bigger and better with the firework displays and all that but if you just want to watch wrestling then house shows are usually pretty good.
Two matches have already been announced and one is for the WWE Title so im hoping its going to be a good event.

On other news I hope Foley returns!

im really pro cm-punk at the moment.

has done brilliantly recently on the mic, and i still think he is technically one of the best wrestlers in the wwe. would like to see mark henry hold onto the world heavyweight title for a little bit longer.

is it just me or is orton becoming a super-cena mark 2? i like his psycotic episodes, but if he becomes too much more of a face then i fear he may go the same way as cena.

also wtf is going on with drew mcintyre? i havnt seen him in ages.

i like the fact that sheamus is getting a push, and turned face. hopefully a wwe title shot is not too far away for him.

i have no interest at all in the sin cara vs sin cara storyline. they are both mute and so error prone that their lucha libre moves are wasted on. hopefully mysterio wont be injured for too long, he does the lucha libre stuff but in moderation.

i too would like to see foley back, but as mankind. still the greatest moment when he got thrown off that cage! also i find myself really wanting chris jericho to return. im beginning to miss the walls.

the rock to return at survivor series anybody?

I used to love tag team bouts back in the day when the division really used to mean something. Edge and Christian vs The Hardyz vs Dudley Boyz in that TLC match was insane, Legacy vs Degeneration X at hell in a cell, the Rock and Sock connection, Rated RKO. These teams used to mean something, but nowadays the tag teams in the wwe seem little more than a way to get some superstars some screen time if they are out of the main title pictures.

So the question is, how can you improve the tag team division? How can you make it mean something again?

I think to get some legitimacy back into those titles you need to involve some of the main superstars in the division, give some of the up and comers a go at the other titles and pull some of the bigger names into the tag team division.

    Current tag teams:

    - Air Boom (Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston)
A nice mix, both high flyers and have talent. The current title holders but would like to see the stick around a while longer. Both have good a good attitude and are popular with the crowd.

    - Zig-Swag (Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger)
A new team made by Vickie Guerrero. Could have some good chemistry together. Will be interesting to see how they get along at Vengeance tonight against Air Boom.

    - The Uso's (Jimmy and Jey Uso)
Talented young wrestlers who dont seem to have that much in the way of credibility. Probably need a period where they hold the titles to earn a bit of a shot in the division. Would be nothing wrestlers as individuals.

    - Awesome Truth (Miz and R-Truth)
Both brilliant wrestlers, great attitude, great connection with the crowd and brilliant on the mic. I expect them to hold the tag titles before too long.

Teams who i would like to see:

    - Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins
These two have history together and good chemistry. Would probably make quite a successful time.

    - Cryme Tyme (JTG and Shad)
I used to love this team, and then wwe put them into a completely pointless feud with each other and Shad ended up leaving the company. Would b good to see them back as they were one of the teams in the division with a bit of character.

    - Legacy (Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase)
Sure Cody is IC champion at the moment, and probably pushing on for better teams but these two made a very good tag team and an even better stable when Randy Orton was involved. Probably wont see legacy back for a while, but would certainly add some fresh heels to the division.

    - Brothers of Destruction (Kane and Undertaker)
Yes undertaker is falling to bits, but how great would it be to see them back for one last run.

    - JeriShow (Chris Jericho and BigShow)
I really liked these two as a team, if jericho ever comes back to the WWE then this would be a nice team for the division.

    - Wade Barratt and Drew McIntyre
Neither seem to be doing anything in singles competition at the moment so why the hell not put them together as a team. McIntyre is one the most talented wrestlers in the wwe, but hasnt been pushed for a long time.

    - Motor City Machine Guns (Sabin and Shelley)
In TNA these guys are brilliant, would be great to see them one day in the WWE.

    - The Hardyz
Great tag team, idiotic individuals no doubt, but as a team they are brilliant and were involved in perhaps my most favourite match ever with Edge and Christian and the Dudleys Boyz.

    - Cena and Punk
Probably just me, but i imagine these two would make a great team.

    - RVD and Mysterio
Would love to see RVD back in the WWE, and a team with Mysterio would be great.

    Any thoughts?

My current irk is that HHH just couldn't let CM Punk have the spotlight. He had to spend the whole of their feud burying him at every opportunity instead of putting Punk over huge as he should've.

The Tag team division is all but dead. Until recently you'd need to watch TNA for a decent Tag team bout but it's goign the same way. I'm with you I remember the Hardy's etc. but going back even further. Too Cool, the Head bangers and who could forget the Acolytes/APA?

    - Air Boom, decent team, god awful name. Neither of them are ever going to be main eventers, but they really need a common theme to succeed as a history making tag team.
    - Zig-Swag, again neither of them have cut it as main eventers. Much as I hate Vicki she gets some real heat. With Christian in tow as the experienced veteran, we've got the making of a decent stable.
    - The Uso's, these guys have grown on me. they've got a serious lack of charisma and zero mic skills though. Maybe they need a manager, possibly a job for Rikishi, their father?
    - Awesome Truth, god I hate Miz. Which is one way of suggesting he plays his role well. Can't wrestle for toffee though but mic skills are great. R Truth or K-Kwick is massively underrated. Coming to the end of his career, a last hurrah as tag team champion is on the cards.

    - Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins. I just don't see what everyone else sees in ZR, and Curt Hawkins..... who? Mid card tag team at best.

    - Cryme Tyme, Great character but awful wrestlers. Shad was let go for a reason and JTG is not far behind him.

    - Legacy (Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase) Rhodes has been gifted a great storyline which has pretty much saved his career. I don't think he has the physical presence to ever be a regular main eventer, but his mic skills are an asset. Dibiase on the other had had a push and just couldn't get over, too boring. He's even had a WWE funded film which flopped. His character needs a serious revamp.

    - Brothers of Destruction (Kane and Undertaker), Undertaker is pretty much done. His american badass persona of a few years ago extended his stay but the deadman character is so out of date. Yes he is a legend but he's not performed in the ring well for a good few years. Contrary to popular belief I reckon Kane could come back as a monster again and has a couple more years in him.

    - JeriShow (Chris Jericho and BigShow) Big show is getting towards the end of his career and a top face of the company, not so sure he'll ever team up again for an extended run. Jericho is gold on the mic, I'd like to see him move into commentary but I wonder if his wrestling days are done?

    - Wade Barratt and Drew McIntyre. Despite have the push of all pushes and being best mates with HHH Macintyre just cant get over with the fans. He has "the look" that Vince likes but I just can't see him being the future of the company.
Barratt on the other hand can go far. He needs a decent storyline and a new finisher and I reckon he can be a singles main eventer.

    - Motor City Machine Guns (Sabin and Shelley) - agreed a top team. The chemistry together is fantastic. However it is the "chemistry" that consigns them to TNA.

Of all the teams in TNA I recon The British Invasion & Beer Money would work best in WWE. Douglas is getting on a bit but one of the best technical wrestlers in the business today.

Looking at up and coming WWE talent that could help with a tag team revival.

John Cena - He needs a rest from being the singles face of the company, I'm not so sure he'd match well with punk, if Miz goes single then a Cena/Truth tag team could work.

John Morrison. Dismissed as a spot monkey by many and woeful on the mic I reckon his best work was as part of a team. Mysterio is suffering physically so if they can invent a storyline to link the two this could work.

Mason Ryan. This bloke is immense. He has the physique to go far but is very green. He needs teaming up with a veteran. With Kozlov gone maybe Santino could work. I'm a big fan of Santino. Never big enough to main event but very talented in the ring and has mic skills as well. Could help Ryan a lot.

Brodus Clay. Another newbie who could go far if treated properly. Reminds me a lot of Albert/A-Train. Again like ryan. Team him up with a veteran for a year or so and it could work wonders. Suggestions?

Oh and RVD, and both Hardy's whilst at the prime were probably the best entertainer in the business are no longer fit (or coherent enough) to entertain anymore and my worry is they could seriously injure somebody.

Yes I got the 50 quid seats on the 1st tier, ill upload some pics on here after the show. They are doing appereances from the superstars but the two guys who are doing signings in Sheffield are Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne so im not that interested in meeting them. If there is an appereance from The Rock I will go crazy (although I doubt he will be at a house show).

Booo you said you were going to see RAW.

House shows are OK but when I saw one it lacked the Titantron and commentary.
If I can give you one tip, don't bother trying to take pictures. You'll end up watching the whole show through a camera and its too dark to get anything decent at the zoom you'll need, ends up blurry. Take a few of the arena to get the atmos but you're better off downloading photos of the event later from the fishal site.

Well it is RAW but its a RAW house show. I'll take photos but not to many as I just want to watch the show and I get distracted.

CM Punk v The Miz and John Cena v Alberto Del Rio have been announced so far

Punk will be good. He's more in touch with the grass roots fans so understands a house show is just as important.
