I might not panic, but don't think I'd whip my phone out for a video of my son potentially being mauled to bits.
I read a news story about this that said the boy had asked his stepfather to start videoing when they first saw the bear. I agree, though, think I would have put the phone down when things started to get hairy (scuse the pun). Apparently, they’d watched a film on YouTube on what to do if you encounter a bear before they went hiking. Just as well. I definitely would not have been as calm and definitely would not have described the experience afterwards as “cool”.
