    Seems like you were right.

Since the second round of games started the football has been excellent.

Not for England it's not? If Slovenia had won today they would have been through and USA would have been all but out, and assuming we win handsomely today we would have been pretty much definitely through as well, leaving our fate in our own hands as to whether we win the group or not in the final game. With todays result it now means both USA and Slovenia have everything to play for and a slight f**k up from us today or in the last game could end with us missing out all together.

Both games today were great to watch from a neutral point of view.

Anyone else think USA has the worst kit? They look like Thunderbird characters.

    Team America -**** yeah!

The World Cup has thankfully, got a lot, lot better.

I just hope we've seen all the shocks we are going to see today.

It's true. The first round of games were poor. But as long as you takea point from the first game, you're going to be in with some sort of chance going into the last group game (albeit not a very good one for the French :) ), whereas if you lose, the pressure is really on. It backfired fo Spain though, and they are under a lot of pressure to take maximum points from their games against Honduras and Chile.

Definately improved now we've hit the 2nd set of fixtures... and I think all the criticism of the ball is beginning to die down a bit as teams get more and more used to playing with it...

... However, I reckon the Nigeria keeper, as well as Green, would have something to say about that.

I think I'll enjoy it a lot more once England are out.

I don't know about you guys, but I see cross after cross, corner after corner, long pass after long pass going 10 or 20 feet beyond where everyone expects it to be.

It seems like the ball simply decelerates less quickly making it fool everyone into standing in the wrong spot.

Perfect example was South Korea's own goal against Argentina. The ball was served long, the two players in front leapt to head it, both missed by a foot. The unsuspecting defender behind was merely a bystander as it caromed off his shinguard having been obstructed by the leapers in front of him that missed.

It ends up favoring teams with possession skills and those that don't rely on set pieces. In other words, not our great nations' teams.

I agree this was definitely happening at first but it seems to be settling down now.
