Quite literally Liverpool has been the only highlight. Normally you can point out a couple of last minute winners or something but we can’t even stretch to that.
I'd argue I enjoyed the brief resurgence around Christmas time but part from that Liverpool the obvious standout I forgot the Deeney missed pen against Spurs too! So many points lost or could have been gained by seeing a game out professionally.
This season we have beat Liverpool, Man U, Wolves and drawn 3 times with Arsenal and Spurs. I think expectations are much, much higher than before, as we have managed to stay in the a premier league. I thought the previous 0ccasions were worse. I seem to remember a run of 22 games, without a win, and most games were over in the first twenty minutes. I don’t think it’s a lack of effort from the players this season. More like the constant changes, and lack of investment in key areas. I just don’t think we are quite good enough at the moment, and have an ageing squad - that needs rebuilding.
This could turn out to be the best season ever. With luck someone high up in the organisation will never let such a cluster f*** happen again.
The season Basset took over and the Dyche season under Bas. Basset tore apart a side that had finished 9th the previous year. I think Blissett was top scorer in the league that year with 4 The Dyche season was the worst football I've ever seen, absolutely horrific
I hated the Rodgers season. Slow, full, tippy happy nonsense (just for the sake of it). Giving experience to other teams youngsters like Hoyte and Bridcutt- who were mediocre. The seasons under Malky and Dyche were miles more enjoyable imo.
On the topic of Nottingham Forest's spectacular implosion, what's worse, not even making the play-offs when you've been comfortable all season, or scraping in and taking a right royal humping in the semis?
