I think I must be the only person on here who has a positive feeling about this game. Didn’t have too many players away on international duty, and those who were got minutes and will come back rejuvenated and happy.

2-1 to us but would be happy with a point. If we are serious about maintaining a place in the top half, we have to take points from these games.

For the first time this season, I'm pretty sure we are going to lose.

I've always found their fans welcoming. The last time I was there they even threw coins to us

I was at that game and sadly walked past a strewn body surrounded by medics which turned out to be Nic. People next to us saw it and said they jumped him for no reason .

There was an edge to the atmosphere all afternoon at And before the game .

  11. Yes, but there is a significant minority who want to believe it was Nic's fault.

In fairness most of them are in agreement that it was absolutely abysmal what happened to him and those that did it are pond life. They have a few who think he deserved it but we probably would have the same if a Watford fan did it to a Wolves fan. Some people are just incredibly stupid

There is a chance Mapps plays at RB and Navarro next to Cathcart. Kiko was defending pretty poorly last time out. Masina in for Holly. Your strong midfield suits an away game. We need to get some control and be patient. We must of course take any chances muffin style. Not ruling out a point or more but it won't be easy.
  17. I notice BrummieNick on their stirring trouble, claims he knows via a mate that Watford fans are up for revenge.

It's this sort of brain dead thick as s**t bullcr@p that other brain dead thick as s**t morons believe and use as an excuse to start something.

Hopefully he'll crawl back into whatever sewer he came out from and stop stirring.

Definitely noticed the atmosphere thing. Maybe it's just the local area which gave me that feeling, but (and perhaps because I'm a millennial) I've never felt that way at an away game before. Like we needed to stick in a pack for some reason.

    Let me guess:

Clearly Nic was in the wrong and brought it upon himself.

I literally saw the attack and reported it to the police. Nic was just randomly jumped. A few of us gave statements to police with the actual facts. Everything you say is made up.
I heard a rumour that he was calling out fans on Facebook and starting fights with everyone. The fight was probably arranged and he lost.
There's no evidence for that. There has been nothing found/ quoted from Facebook whatsoever. That's obviously made up too.
He was gobbing off with everyone in sight. People say he's a decent bloke with kids, but, ignoring the fact that a 40 year old man starting a fight with a load of teenagers was not brought up at trial or picked up by investigative newspapers, he was clearly asking for it. My mates said so.
He was outnumbered and kicked in the head when he was on the floor. He was in a coma for weeks. People were imprisoned for such a cowardly attack.
My mates also said that they weren't even at the game. They probably weren't even Wolves fans.
    I give up

Was enjoying the thread till the nick thing came up (bit of sudden reminder that this is all just supposed to be a bit of fun) - I think most of the wolves fans seem perfectly reasonable and share our views on violence. Let’s be honest if you are the kind of person that would kick someone in the head your are a class A tosser not a football fan.

If it’s all the same to everybody would like a watford win

Am just a little worried that we have started the mid season slump early and won’t win till we get another manager

Think we could really do with a top class performance and goals from Booby P, Gray and Deeney

Shame to hear Chalobah might be injured again - unless its the club just being very careful.

Seems like Gerry D might be fit to start.

Mariappa and Masina to come in I guess at the back.

I'd take a draw but apart from last game we have played well so hopefully Bournemouth was a blip.

Kiko was dreadful last time but those defenders suddenly fill me with despair.

    3-0 Hornets.
  26. Burnsy

Navarro if fit (Kiko otherwise), Prodl, Cathcart, Masina - IMO

Caveat to that being, I would play Kiko on the right ofmidfield and Hughes on the left. Both of those are good attackers but offer more defensively than Deulofeu/Pereyra. We’ll need those type of options off the bench. Harsh perhaps on Pereyra as he’ll be on a high after international duty but he’s covered some miles in the last 10 days and might be best to use players who have spent that time training with the squad.

Definitely were Wolves fans and were at the game. My missus works in a secure training centre in the under 18s prison where one the perpetrators is currently and she said he is a big Wolves fan in fact he has Wolves stuff up in his sell. She noticed straight away because she is a West Brom fan.
  28. Lawro and Merswit have us down to lose, which for once is not unreasonable.

Because we lost. When we beat Spuds before the last IB the two weeks flew past for excitement for the next game.

Oddly we have played well but only picked up one point since that game.
