I’ve got a nice garden so I’ll be in it. To be honest if this whole virus thing wasn’t happening I’d only be venturing out due to guilt about the weather being nice, and feeling like I should be taking advantage of it somehow.

Our thick as pig s**t neighbours have got two of their mates round for a BBQ.

Sun comes out and we hit the dizzy heights of 14 degrees and these morons throw their shorts and sliders on and have a party during a pandemic lockdown.

    Inconsiderate, dumb, cringeworthy c**ts.

Yeah but you’re a Leicester fan and as we all know, Leicester fans would prefer to relegate us than seal a champions league place !

Reported them to Kent police using the online form. I would have loved to have gone round there to say my piece, but I'm capable of following simple guidelines...

Had to go out to the outlaws to get our fence post shortened width wise. Absolutely gutted. Quite a few cars on the road as well.

It does mean however that we have a back garden back and can now use for r and r especially with both of us still working at our workplace during the week.

    Sorry Moose.

Had a lovely day at the beach today. Really quiet but that made it great for us, just a pain half the ice cream shops were closed. Think I've caught the sun nicely. Also only a 90 minute journey as the roads were so dead.

Rickamansworth Aquadrome and Cassiobury Park car parks closed due to unprecendted amount of absolute ****ing morons going there. Apparently many people at both places people were picnicking. Every time they do this we're in lockdown a little longer and more people are dying. How long until people start to take action against these people? This is really pi**ing me off now.

If I lived near cassiobury park I'd consider the household going out for a picnic on our daily walk (exercise) as fine so long as we sat away from paths and other routes. If you have to drive there, nope stay at home.

I'm not asking for a ding dong, just wanted to ask you why this is really such bad behaviour, because I can't get my head round it?

2 people who obviously both individually feel healthy, or indeed might have already had it & recovered, within their own confined space & presumably no old or vulnerable people around (which would be pertinent for you to have mentioned if that was the case, as I agree then it would be out of order).

Why is this really so terrible of them to do that, or is the truth you really seem to hate them and anything they do annoys you? Believe me I understand that b/c I have had terrible neighbours in the past & know what it's like.

Do you really not understand why people shouldn’t get together with friends at the moment ? If this is ok presume they should be allowed to have another 10 friends round too ? My wife infected me when she didn’t know she was ill or infected. The work colleague who gave it to her didn’t know he was sick and infectious when he went to work. So basically it jumped to A new host and on to a third host before the originator even knew he was sick. Nath’s neighbours’ friends might be carrying the illness. That’s the whole point of isolation to limit new cases and give the nhs a chance. I’m stunned you don’t seem to understand that.

But did they? Social media has Watford down as stupid town of the day. The phrase ‘thousands of people turned up to picnic’ is repeated time and again. But I’ve seen not a single picture of said picnic folk.

The car park was closed, maybe to deter people visiting, but maybe it was because emergency service helicopters landed in the park.

I smell BS. Was anyone actually there? Would ‘thousands’ picnic in Watford at the same time ever?

Ok calm down, there are no technical issues with what you say.

I'm looking at it that it's a good thing the healthy can catch it & the vast vast majority will be perfectly ok.

Using the logic you are using, we will never be able to lead normal lives again well into the future anyway.

Why don't you seem to understand you can never out run it? You & your Mrs are living proof of that.

& I wouldn't mind & answer to this either, if you'd care to? Whats the difference between those 2 people in a friends isolated garden & those same 2 people walking around an enclosed supermarket with umpteen people in there walking past each other in the aisles?

Nath, surely you can see this is just semantics?

Let's for example say both of those 2 people you mentioned do indeed have it. Those 2 didn't go to your neighbours garden today, they went & did there 'allowed & essential' travel to Asda instead, then wouldn't you say there is a fair & reasonable chance that they will instead potentially affect the other non infected people in the supermarket instead of your neighbours. IMO it is a greater risk for them to go to a supermarket with more people, than your neighbours smaller gathering. So what does it matter then?

Before you say "you have halved that risk" if you see the way it spreads it doesn't matter what way you cut the math's. We will be in this situation for years & that is not possible!

You have to let people catch it if you want normality. So IMO that should start ASAP & 100% quarantine the old/vunerable 24/7 for say 6 months & then review. There will never be enough hospital staff to deal with the issues anyway. So you might as well tackle it early & at least do your best to save what's left of the economy. Thoughts are my own. Always read the label.

Went to Sainsburys this morning to do a shop (wasn’t willing to wait weeks for an online delivery), came home, cut the grass and done a bit of tidying at home. Having a few beers and watching telly at the moment.

The furthest I plan to go tomorrow is into the garden with a good book.

Unfortunately, where we live we also have a number of pillocks who have been out sunbathing and having kickabouts so all parks and playing fields locally have been closed. I feel sorry for the police, having to deal with this special kind of f*ckwit.

It's stupid. People will end up specifically going to the supermarkets just to get out of the house & use the excuse of it's their 'essential travel allowance' in order to buy more & more food everyday.

    Absolute joke.

Those flouting the advice (/law) by going out are going to potentially kill their friends, family and those that may try to save their friends/families lives. If they can live with that it says a lot about them. It's incredibly selfish.

And yes life as we knew it is over until there is a vaccine or at least something to control the main symptoms.

This is not the world's first Pandemic, the world recovers but look through history and you can see the impact on every day life. Black death, the plague, Spanish flu (actually originated in UK or US) to name a few which are actually still around.

Went for a long run today and will do the same tomorrow. On my own so no issues there. Managed to find a few trails today with no one around for well over an hour. Was planning a run over to Wendover Woods tomorrow and doing a long lap there but have a feeling there'll be a few poeple around even with the car park locked.

TuT would you please explain why my assessment of the example I gave is an incorrect one? I'm open to changing my opinion.

  30. Hornet4ever

Hornet4ever WFC Forums Last Man Standing Winner 2018/2019

& also most likely the 2 friends example I gave would not be together, if they weren't in that garden, instead they could have both done their 'essential travel' supermarket run in two totally separate supermarkets & you then have a much bigger amplification & multiplication %, surely much more so than being in a garden with 4-5 people.

Explain why this is an incorrect assessment so I can understand better?

& why would 1 or 2 people in a park sunbathing by themselves pose any risk if that's the case?

Look forward to any serious replies, rather than telling me i'm a terrible human being.

I actually think a lot of you secretly don't want it to end? Getting paid your salaries, no work, not having to do the old commute, whilst sitting at home eating chocolate & potato chips all day :)

No solutions or posts for a balanced conversation. I want to get back to the way it once was & I don't apologise for that.

Think i'll scale the wall of the Vic and sit in the EJ stand. Clap at the 72nd minute as we all should, then spend the other 89 booing Andre' Gray missing open goals and Holebas leaping over the advertising boards asking me for a punch up.

Ah so remove the lockdown, watch the parks fill, see covid-19 cases skyrocket and watch the NHS crumble under the strain? I've been messaging with NHS nurses who are begging us all to stay home, and rightly so.

Need more convincing? Read this article https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-52145140

Thank god you aren't running this country. Please stay home.
