isnt it people's right to post rubbish if they so desire? closing the board has changed the image of the club at a stroke. i had huge respect for GS, still do but not quite as much as i did.
But that's exactly the point! It isn't people's right. WFC own the forums, they could do what they wanted with them. What right minded company wants negagtive things written about it? And to add insult to injury they were hosting most of it!
well people were still going on about this conspiracy theory, that is exactly what the club said they didn't want on their boards, which is fair enough IMO!
but its got to be a bit of a over reaction by GS, i mean there wasnt anything on the boards that wasnt worse than the carp the papers write
reindeer, it was my impression that the 'conspiracy theory' threads were completely tongue in cheek. the club should have shown more tolerance and perhaps a sense of humour.
and the boards were only used by up to 100 members at any one time, the most i remember was about 200 at a time, that's about 1.25% of season ticket holders. that means 98.75% of season ticket holders never used the boards. a bit of an over reaction? what do you think?
That may be so but to be honest at that time tongue in cheek was not the way to go... funny to some but not the best time to say things like that.. any excuse and all that!
yes but out of 1.25 season ticket holders about 0.05 were fools, most people just used the board the way it was supposed to be used. does the comments really cause harm to the players. surely they would know most of its not true and just ignore it
Exactly my point, it may have been tongue in cheek, which if it was I completely missed, but it was timing of it espcially after what the club has been saying
The caz goodwin with the >66< in it is NOT the real caz. The obvious person is callywinger. Why ? Because on the official MB callywinger was rookery1982 who suddenly had a major problem with caz hence the use of his former username.
You can post all the rubbish you want but you have to be prepared to take the consequences if what you say affects someone's employment prospects or future earnings or brings them or their employers into disrepute.
